The Cougar FV150 case has one standout feature that makes it particularly appealing to a specific group of gamers: its pink color, which targets female gamers. However, the case’s appeal isn’t limited to color alone, as I also received a white variant for review.

Cougar FV150 Pink/White Video review
Positioning and Price
Both color variants are priced at €100, roughly $120. There is also an all-black model, though calling it entirely black is debatable – just as the pink version isn’t purely pink. The white variant, however, is almost entirely clean white.
Package contents
The package feels almost premium. Instead of foam, it uses expanded polypropylene, and the kit includes standoffs, screws, a manual, and cable ties. That’s essentially everything – now we can move on to the most important aspect.

Exterior Design of the Cougar FV150
The Cougar FV150 is essentially a Mid-Tower “aquarium” case: tempered glass on the front and side panels, with the remaining sides dedicated to fans – or radiators, though not everywhere. Add the option to mount a graphics card vertically (albeit at the cost of lower fan placement), and you get a highly versatile case with an open, visually striking style. And it looks great while doing so.

Compatibility
The FV150 can accommodate up to 10 fans in total: three 120 mm at the bottom, three 120 mm on the side, three 120 mm on top, and one 120 mm at the rear. Alternatively, 140 mm fans can be used on the top and side. For liquid cooling radiators, the case supports up to 360 mm on top, 240 mm on the side, and 120 mm at the rear.

It’s nice that the case comes with four proprietary ARGB fans out of the box – specifically, Cougar CR120-RW on the side and Cougar CR120-W at the rear. They… are lively. I’ll save the details for later, but they connect to a hub that’s equally… spirited. You can probably guess why from the photos, and for those who don’t, the explanation comes at the end of the review.

A quick note on dust filters – they’re present wherever there are fans, except at the rear. The top and side filters are magnetic, while the bottom uses clips, which I’m less fond of. Still, removing this particular filter is easier than expected, thanks to its flexibility and width, which make it simple to bend and extract.

The front panel is both visually appealing and functional. It includes two USB Type-A 5 Gbps ports, one USB-C 10 Gbps port, a combined audio jack, a power button, an RGB control button, and activity indicators.

The Type-A ports are also colored differently than usual, which adds a nice touch.

The Cougar FV150 measures 300 × 400 × 415 mm and weighs 6.83 kg. It supports Mini ITX, Micro ATX, and full-size ATX motherboards. Up to two 3.5-inch hard drives can be installed, and the same applies to 2.5-inch drives, though only via conversion mounts.

Not literally turning lead into gold, but a 2.5-inch drive can be mounted in a 3.5-inch bay. This means the case can hold a total of only three drives. That said, the drive cage looks stylish even when it’s only partially populated.

The power supply is installed vertically, with excellent compatibility for units up to 210 mm. CPU coolers can reach a maximum height of 180 mm, graphics cards up to 400 mm, and there are 7+3 expansion slots available.
Colors of the Cougar FV150
Now for the fun part. The pink Cougar FV150 isn’t entirely pink, as you may have noticed. It comes with white fans, white cables, a black hub, and a black splitter. Still, about 99% of the visible front-facing elements are pink or color-coordinated, including the white logo. If Cougar ever releases pink 120 mm fans, this case could easily become the season’s standout hit.

Fans, Radiators, and Lighting
Now, about the fans – as promised, the “sweet” part. They are not PWM; these are three-pin fans running at a fixed speed of 1,100 RPM. They aren’t very loud, but the only way to control them is through the BIOS in DC mode.

It’s also worth noting that the package includes – or already has installed – a power splitter for three fans, while, as a reminder, there are four fans included! And this is exactly why the hub earns its “lively” reputation.

The hub has a maximum of six positions and doesn’t power the fans themselves – it only powers the lighting. This is something I’m seeing for the first time. Over my career, I’ve encountered PWM + ARGB hubs, PWM-only hubs, but ARGB-only hubs like this are extremely rare.

A quick note on the lighting: the fans provide excellent diffusion, there are plenty of lighting modes, and it can be easily turned off by holding the button for a few seconds. While the hub doesn’t offer pink lighting, the purple tone slightly tempers the pink FV150 – but it still looks elegant and feminine.

I’ll also point out a cable-management detail. The general routing gap is quite large – about two fingers thick – but the CPU power cable hole is both tiny and partially blocked by the drive cage. It’s better to remove the cage before assembly and reinstall it afterward. Fortunately, it’s secured with screws and even features perforations to aid airflow.
Conclusion
In summary, the pink Cougar FV150 is a gem for female gamers and streamers. Very few cases of this type exist in this color. Yes, it has some quirks – some I’ve encountered for the first time – but they are minor overall. What we have is a versatile, attractive, and modern case, regardless of its color. Highly recommended.
