I have some good news for you. Strange, but good. Because the YUNZII M2 is a mouse that can leave you genuinely puzzled. In the best possible sense of the word. Why? Because it’s unique, beautiful, powerful, and almost completely free of flaws.

Price and Positioning

I would confidently call the YUNZII M2’s price its number-one advantage: at the time of this review, it costs just $60 on the official website, compared with the regular price of $75. That’s not exactly budget pricing, but you’ll see why it’s actually quite low.

YUNZII M2 Design

I’ve broken down all of this mouse’s advantages into three main categories. The first is its overall design, because it looks absolutely phenomenal. The manufacturer says the surface features a carbon-fiber texture.

But to me, it looks much more like granite with shimmering flecks.

And that’s actually even better! I’ve seen carbon-fiber textures a thousand times – I even have a desk with one, and it’s boring. But this shimmering stone looks absolutely incredible.

And to top it all off, there are four color options: black with gold buttons (maximum premium vibes), cute yet stylish pink, classic white, and my personal favorite – orange.

Specifications

We’ve covered the design. But what about the specs? Only flagship-grade hardware: a PAW 3395 sensor, up to 30,000 DPI, a polling rate of up to 8,000 Hz, 1 or 2 mm LOD, speeds of up to 650 IPS, and acceleration of up to 50G. A 500 mAh battery… and all of that in a mouse weighing just 63 g!

The YUNZII M2 is so serious that the manufacturer even published recommended PC specifications so you can fully unleash its potential. It’s a little funny, but this really is a professional-grade mouse. It feels great in the hand, and the surface offers plenty of grip.

If that still isn’t enough grip, the box also includes additional grip stickers! Besides those, you’ll find a cable, a manual, a USB-A to USB-C adapter, and a 2.4 GHz receiver.

YUNZII M2

Functionality

And this brings us to the third category – functionality. The YUNZII M2 offers three connectivity modes: Bluetooth 5.2 (up to 125 Hz), wired connectivity (up to 8,000 Hz), and 2.4 GHz wireless (also up to 8,000 Hz).

There’s also support for web-based software for flexible customization. You can easily live without it, but if needed, you can quickly remap the buttons, adjust the DPI, polling rate, or LOD. Technically, there’s even an RGB DPI profile indicator and macro support.

YUNZII M2

The mouse feels like it was made for your hand, even when your palms get sweaty during an intense gaming session. It’s lightweight, incredibly precise, and looks absolutely awesome – take me back to 2007, but trust me, you really don’t need RGB here.

Drawbacks

However, there are a few quirks. The first is the USB receiver compartment. It’s hidden under one of the mouse feet on the bottom. The idea is good, but I had absolutely no idea how to get the dongle out other than pulling it out with the protective film!

YUNZII M2

The manual doesn’t say a single word about it. Not one. I was already starting to think the receiver was meant to be carried separately in the adapter, which would have been a terrible design choice. But no – it turns out you just need to press down on one edge of the glide so the other side pops up, then slide it to the side.

YUNZII M2

The second downside is the side buttons. They have a satisfying click and good tactile feedback, but the plastic panel underneath them feels somewhat flimsy. It creates a noticeable contrast with the rest of the shell and the main buttons. You can hear what they sound like in the video review above.

Conclusion

This is a phenomenal mouse. Packed with technology, highly functional, relatively affordable, and featuring an amazing design. In both color options, the YUNZII M2 looks and performs incredibly well. I think the orange version would be just as good, if not better. The manual could definitely use some work, and the side buttons could be more solid, but overall – I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Be sure to let me know in the comments which mouse surface you prefer: carbon fiber, marble, soft-touch, or rubber grips? I’m going with this shimmering granite finish and the included grip stickers. Let me know what you think!

This is a phenomenal mouse. Packed with technology, functional, relatively affordable and with a stunning design. In both colours, the YUNZII M2 looks and performs really, really well. I reckon it would be just as good, if not better, in orange too. Admittedly, the user manual could do with some improvement, and the side buttons could be made a bit more solid, but overall – I wholeheartedly recommend it!
