AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 26.5.2 WHQL driver has received an official certificate of conformity and is now available for download on Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems. The latest release from AMD was prepared specifically to ensure stable operation of the upcoming Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light titles.
In addition, the developers focused on fixing critical bugs that caused users of Radeon RX 9000 graphics cards to experience sudden closures of the RoadCraft simulator and noticeable image defects during the game process in Satisfactory.
This release is an operational software update that AMD prepared immediately after the release of the previous build number 26.5.1 to provide gamers with the necessary optimizations for the two upcoming projects in a timely manner. There are several proven ways to install the latest version of the software: using the functionality of the AMD Software branded panel: Adrenalin Edition panel, by running the AMD Driver Autodetect utility, or by downloading the required package of files directly from the AMD web portal.
The main innovation of this build is the integration of special optimizations for Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light, which will allow graphics adapters to demonstrate maximum performance. Fans of virtual racing will be able to appreciate the benefits of the update in Forza Horizon 6, the new stage of development of the famous arcade open-world racing series by Playground Games. This time, the game events will take drivers to Japan, where they will find a variety of locations: from neon-filled Tokyo highways and dangerous mountain roads to picturesque provincial landscapes and snow-covered Japanese Alps.
The official launch of the race is scheduled for May 19, 2026, but buyers of the most expensive premium edition will have access to the car simulator much earlier – on May 15, 2026. Another important release for which the driver was adapted was the 007 First Light action adventure game from IO Interactive, known for the Hitman franchise. The storyline of this game is dedicated to the period of formation and the first steps of young James Bond on the way to becoming a full-fledged secret agent of the British intelligence agency MI6. Along with preparations for future releases, AMD specialists have fixed several unpleasant technical issues that previously spoiled the game experience for owners of Radeon RX 9000 series graphics chips. In particular, the engineers managed to completely solve the problem with the unstable operation of the RoadCraft simulator, where sudden crashes could occur during gaming sessions or long freezes with a timeout of the graphics driver were recorded. The developers also successfully overcame various visual artifacts and texture distortions that periodically appeared on users’ screens during the development of their factories in Satisfactory on the mentioned generation of video cards.
