The story expansion, titled Echoes of Sekigahara, will alternate between present-day events and flashbacks to Atsu’s experiences on the mainland, where players will encounter Nagato. In the present-day timeline, Atsu will explore a previously undiscovered valley that was once the domain of the Serpent and his loyal followers, while in the historical episodes, players will experience Atsu’s participation in the Battle of Sekigahara and a pivotal moment in her life before she returns home to seek revenge. As befits an expansion, it will feature new enemies to defeat, as well as a wide selection of new heavy weapons, new armor sets, and other content.

Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will also add the Most Wanted survival mode, in which the studio will present its own take on the roguelike genre. Players will complete bounty missions to start new playthroughs, and defeating enemies will grant them bonuses and unlock additional playable characters. The studio promises to share new details about Most Wanted in the near future, but as shown in the trailer, Atsu skillfully wields two katanas, Oyuki masterfully uses a kusarigama, and Nagato is a master of the yari.

However, players who already own the base game can obtain Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted by purchasing the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99.

It creates a splash screen-like experience of being surrounded by Ezo, allowing players to relax at home and take captivating photos in Photo Mode. In addition, new quality-of-life improvements will be added, including the ability to save the design of one armor set while using the stats of another, as well as a new high-contrast accessibility feature.
