The first day of the Ukrainian Games Festival in San Francisco has come to an end and left a lasting impression. Visitors of the event had the opportunity to try games by Ukrainian developers, listen to speeches by invited speakers, and at the same time join the fundraising for medical backpacks organized by the Leleka Foundation.

The organizers thanked everyone who came to the event, supported Ukrainian indie projects and helped make the first day of the festival so intense and interesting. The event continued the next day at 530 Bush Street.
The organizers expressed special gratitude to the participants of the panel discussion about the experience of creating games in wartime. The panelists were Maria Grygorovych (GSC Game World), Olena Lobova (Burny Games), Chloé Giusti (ID@Xbox), and Irena Pereira (Unleashed Games).

The Game Developers Conference, which gathers thousands of specialists from different countries, is taking place nearby. The organizers of Ukrainian Games Festival chose a location near the main conference venue to draw the attention of the international professional community to Ukrainian game projects. And this decision worked – most of the festival visitors came from GDC.

The event is free to attend. You don’t need a Game Developers Conference badge to attend the event, just pre-register on the official website. On March 11, the second day of the pop-up will take place from 12:00 to 18:00 local time.
