Blackview didn’t just bring new products to IFA 2025 – it also received a Best of IFA 2025 award in the “Communications & Connectivity” category. The recognition went to the Blackview Active 12 Pro tablet with a built-in projector, which I’ll cover in detail later. Other highlights included the Blackview D2 smart glasses, the Blackview W80 Pro smartwatch, the Blackview MP60 mini-PC, and the new Blackview XPLORE 2 series of rugged smartphones.

Let’s start with the Blackview MP60, part of the company’s mini-PC lineup that also includes the MP20, MP100, and MP100 Pro. What caught my attention wasn’t its compact size of 128 × 128 × 52 mm or its 390 g weight. Nor was it the fact that it ships with Windows 11 Pro, comes with two HDMI ports, or that it isn’t a barebone system – since it already includes 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of SSD storage.

What interested me most was the processor: the Intel Twin Lake N150. It has 4 cores and 4 threads, with a power range of 6–25 W and a clock speed of 3.6 GHz. RAM support is single-channel up to 4800 MT/s, but only with LPDDR5. As far as I understand, this isn’t a SoC, so the network card is separate. The mini-PC supports Wi-Fi 5. By comparison, the MP100 model offers AMD Ryzen 7 5825U support, with up to 8 cores.

I’ve always had a soft spot for low-power Intel processors dating back to the Atom Z8350. But that’s beside the point – let’s move on.

Blackview D2 smart glasses

Next up is the Blackview D2 – smart glasses. They aren’t the only option, as there’s also the Blackview BV100. They’re not the most advanced – the BV100 seems more capable – but the D2 stands out for its design. If you’re going to wear a device like this, you might as well make a statement, and the D2 delivers with options like orange frames and pink lenses.

The D2 glasses also feature Bluetooth 5.3, IP54 water resistance, weigh just over 41 g, and have a 280 mAh battery. Memory includes 384 KB of SRAM, 64 KB of RAM, and 8 MB of permanent storage. For those unfamiliar, SRAM is the fast, expensive memory often used for cache – it’s not something you leave exposed. Why the glasses need it remains to be seen, at least until I can test a unit if one arrives.

Moving on to the Blackview W80 Pro, a smartwatch like the W70 Pro. Both models are rugged, but the W70’s standout feature is its built-in flashlight, while the W80 adds GPS navigation. The W80 Pro has a 900 mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.3, a nearly 2-inch display at 280 × 320 pixels, weighs 36 g, and runs on a Realtek 8773EWE-VP chip.

Blackview XPLORE 2 rugged smartphone

Next is the Blackview XPLORE 2, a series of rugged smartphones that, as I understand it, includes three models. The XPLORE 2 features a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with 4K resolution, though it’s limited to a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Blackview XPLORE 2

The phone is powered by a Dimensity 8300 5G processor and includes up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Its main camera setup has three modules, the most notable being the Samsung GN9 with dual stabilization.

Blackview XPLORE 2

Add a dual-cell 20,000 mAh battery, 120 W fast charging, and Doke AI 2.0 with at least four proprietary apps – Hi Doki, ImageX, VidGen, and Soundle – and you have a smartphone that’s particularly appealing for outdoor and active use.

Blackview XPLORE 2

Add satellite connectivity, and you get the XPLORE 2 Satellite, the first smartphone to support Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). Remove that feature and add a projector, and you have the XPLORE 2 Projector. We recently reviewed a similar device – read the full coverage here.

Blackview Active 12 Pro tablet with projector

Finally, there’s the Blackview Active 12 Pro. It’s not exactly new, as it’s already been reviewed, but it remains an interesting option. It’s a tablet with a built-in projector, which addresses a key issue with projector-equipped smartphones: size limitations. Making a smartphone heavy for a projector limits portability, while even a DLP FHD projector with 200 nits requires a certain physical footprint.

Blackview Active 12 Pro

Make the tablet large – especially rugged – and no one complains. Add a kickstand, which smartphones lack, and using the projector suddenly becomes much more convenient. Yes, it has active cooling, but it still offers IP69K protection and MIL-STD-810H certification. You can read more about the differences in in this article.

Blackview Active 12 Pro

Yes, it weighs 1.5 kg, but it also packs a 30,000 mAh battery – something you don’t often see even in high-capacity power banks. It supports 120 W fast charging and 10 W reverse charging. Thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, it also offers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. There’s even a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button.
