The leaks of iPad Pro 2024 drawings appeared on the Internet

The most pressing question about the iPad Pro 2024 is when Apple will finally unveil it. But with the increasing number of rumours and leaks about Apple’s next premium tablet, it seems that it will happen very soon. For example, official sketches of the tablet’s design appeared on the Internet recently.

Apple iPad Pro 11

These CAD drawings were shared by MacRumors, and while it’s unclear where exactly they got them from, the text notes that similar drawings often leak out of factories that make Apple devices. So these may be official images of the design, and as the site points out, case makers often trust them enough to even create cases based on them. Of course, sketches like these could easily be created by anyone with drawing skills, so they should be treated with a certain amount of scepticism, but MacRumors still has a pretty solid reputation.

The sketches show the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro 2024 from the front, back, and bottom. The images are a bit sparse on details, but you can see that the overall design is similar to the current models, with the camera unit on the top left corner and the speakers and USB-C port on the bottom.

But the most interesting thing is that the sketches include the dimensions of future tablets. The 13-inch iPad Pro 2024 will reportedly measure 281.58×215.53mm. This is slightly larger than the 280.6×214.9 mm of the iPad Pro 12.9 (2022), although the differences can be explained by the slightly larger 13-inch screen of this year’s model. The 11-inch iPad Pro 2024 according to the sketch measures 249.70×177.51mm, while the iPad Pro 11 (2022) measures 247.6×178.5mm. This means that the future model will be slightly taller, but narrower.

It’s worth noting that these same iPad Pro 2024 dimensions have already appeared in previous leaks, so there’s a good chance they’re accurate. The leak also includes thickness information, with the 13-inch model listed as 5mm (up from 6.4mm in the predecessor) and the 11-inch model as 5.1mm (up from 5.9mm). So, both future iPad Pro models could be thinner than the current versions.
