Recently, Xiaomi introduced the new Redmi Note 12 series in China – Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, Note 12 Pro+ 5G, and Note 12 Explorer Edition. The phones are equipped with up to MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC and a main camera of up to 200 MP. Along with the new Note series phones, the company has also launched a new laptop Xiaomi Book Air 13.
The new Xiaomi laptop comes with two main configurations, both of which are based on 12th-generation Intel processors (Core i5-1230U or Core i7-1250U). It also comes with a hinge that allows users to flip the screen. The laptop is available in a single white color. It offers 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of solid-state storage.
Book Air 13 has a 2-in-1 design. It has a 13.3-inch E4 OLED display with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Screen brightness can reach 600 nits. It has a standard 60Hz refresh rate and is surrounded by thin bezels. The screen also supports Dolby Vision technology.
Since it has a 360-degree hinge, the laptop can be used for a variety of purposes. Its screen also supports touch inputs. The laptop is quite light – 1.2 kg and has a thickness of only 12 mm. For multimedia purposes, it is equipped with dual Dolby Atmos speakers. It also comes with two microphones and a large glass touchpad. The keyboard is backlit and has a fingerprint scanner on the power button.
For video calls, Xiaomi Book Air 13 is equipped with an 8-megapixel web camera. The laptop’s Core i7-1250U processor is also paired with an Intel Iris Xe GPU. Both variants are equipped with a vapor chamber for heat dissipation.
Xiaomi installed a battery with a capacity of 58.3 Wh in the Book Air 13. The laptop supports 65W charging out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the laptop has two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack, it also supports WiFi-6E and Bluetooth 5.2. As expected, the Book Air 13 runs Windows 11 out of the box.
