HMD Global, which is best known for Nokia smartphones, is actively transforming its product portfolio and going beyond the mobile segment. The company has officially announced the launch of wearable technology, introducing two smartwatch models at once, the flagship HMD Watch X1 and the more affordable HMD Watch P1.

Along with the watches, the brand announced a large-scale update of its audio lineup. Six models of TWS wireless headphones were presented as part of the new HMD Dub series, which covers several price categories.

The smartwatch line is aimed at different market segments. The senior model is HMD Watch X1, which is positioned as a premium product. The device has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Thanks to the OLED panel, the watch supports Always On Display mode and animated watch faces. The case is IP68 dust and water resistant, and the battery life reaches up to 5 days even with the AOD mode active.

HMD Watch P1 is aimed at a more mass segment. This model uses a 1.83-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 240×284 pixels and 550 nits of brightness. The case protection meets the IP67 standard, and the battery life is up to 4 days. Despite the simplified hardware, the model retains most of the key features of the older version.

Both watches run on HMD’s proprietary RTOS operating system and connect to Android and iOS smartphones via the HMD Watch app. The devices have a full range of health monitoring features, including heart rate and SpO2 measurement, sleep and stress tracking, and support for more than 700 sports modes. Bluetooth calling, music control, and system notifications are available. Standard 22 mm wide straps are used for personalization.

The flagship of the line is Dub X50 Pro. The model has Bluetooth 5.3, active ANC noise cancellation, four microphones for improved call quality, and IPX4 splash protection. The total battery life reaches 60 hours, and the headphones themselves provide almost 16 hours of playback without recharging. The standard version of Dub X50 does not support ANC, but it is designed for maximum endurance. The total playback time reaches 70 hours, and the autonomy of the headphones themselves is about 17.9 hours.

The middle segment is represented by the Dub S60 and Dub P70 models. Dub S60 is equipped with ENC noise cancellation and provides up to 35 hours of playback. Dub P70 has active ANC noise cancellation and offers up to 45 hours of battery life.

Although global prices have not yet been announced, HMD has published an estimated price for the Philippine market. Dub X50 is estimated at about $30, Dub S60 at $28, and Dub P60 at $20. This suggests an aggressive price positioning of the new audio line.

With the simultaneous launch of smartwatches and a large-scale headphone series, HMD demonstrates its intention to build a full-fledged ecosystem of wearable devices and audio products, gradually transforming from a smartphone manufacturer into a universal player in the personal electronics market.
