Motorola has quietly begun rolling out a test version of Android 17 to owners of the Moto Edge 60 Pro smartphone. This device is among the first wave of the brand’s devices to gain access to the latest beta build. A similar update was previously rolled out for models such as the Motorola Signature, Moto Edge 70, and Moto G57 Power.
Participants in the testing program in India report that the test software, version A171VVH.16, has begun rolling out. The rollout is expected to expand to other countries in the near future. The installation file is 5 GB in size, which exceeds the size of all previous system updates for this smartphone. However, the official changelog currently only mentions the July 2026 security patch and measures to improve system stability.

Moto Edge 60 Pro owners who signed up early for the Android 17 beta testing program should expect to receive a notification at any moment. To check for the update yourself, go to your device’s settings, open the “System” section, select “System Update,” and tap the “Check for Updates” button.
Keep in mind Motorola’s usual practice of rolling out software in phases, which means the rollout to all users may take several days. The exact timing of the update depends on your specific region.

Once you install the Android 17 beta, you’ll immediately notice the changes to your smartphone. The developers have significantly redesigned the notification panel and control center, added new digital clock options for the lock screen, and updated the system settings menu. In addition, the system now features a redesigned volume slider and an improved Live Activities feature, which now supports calls, music playback, and the flashlight.
