ORICO’s CyberData series of network storage devices, which previously generated considerable buzz on a crowdfunding platform, is moving from the fundraising phase to the full-scale launch of retail sales.
A statement from the international manufacturer of data storage and transmission equipment indicates that the entire product line will soon be available on the brand’s official online store. The lineup includes four different devices: the CyberData CF6, which uses exclusively flash memory; the hybrid solutions CyberData CF56 and CyberData CF56 Pro; and the most powerful model in the lineup, the CyberData CF1000, designed for extreme data volumes.

The new series was developed with the needs of users in mind who handle large amounts of digital content on a daily basis, including photos, videos, and work documents. The devices combine high-speed data processing, flexible scalability, and reliable personal storage management into a single ecosystem. As a representative of the ORICO storage drive development team emphasized, the overwhelming support for the project during the crowdfunding campaign demonstrated the audience’s desire for something more than just a standard external drive. Today’s consumers need a combination of high speeds, substantial storage capacity, and full control over a system capable of expanding in proportion to their growing digital needs, and entering the market is a logical step toward bringing this concept to the general public.
Hardware-wise, the series features four variants that guarantee a consistent user experience. The most compact solution in the family is the CyberData CF6, designed as an all-flash system with six slots for M.2 NVMe SSDs, allowing for a total capacity of 48 TB. High-speed access to files in small home studios and personal work environments is provided by network interfaces with speeds of 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps.
The CyberData CF56 model offers a hybrid configuration, combining five bays for SATA hard drives and six M.2 NVMe slots, providing a total of up to 168 TB of storage. This architecture allows files requiring constant processing to be stored on high-speed drives, while large archives and backups remain on traditional hard drives within the same device.
The CyberData CF56 Pro model is based on a similar hybrid architecture but features increased computing power thanks to a 12-core, 16-thread Intel Core i5-1240P processor. Additionally, this model is equipped with two 10 Gbps network ports and two high-speed USB4 ports with a bandwidth of up to 40 Gbps, which is designed for complex professional and creative tasks involving the simultaneous execution of multiple processes.
At the top of the lineup is the flagship CyberData CF1000 model, which features ten SATA drive bays, two M.2 NVMe slots, and supports up to 256 TB of storage. Thanks to its advanced support for RAID arrays and high-speed network connectivity, this model is designed for large-scale digital libraries, centralized shared use, and massive amounts of data.
All four devices run on the proprietary CyberData OS. It serves as the intelligent core for backup, synchronization, file sharing, media file organization, and remote access from computers, smartphones, and tablets. The software is equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms that analyze content and facilitate searching within large archives by faces, geodata, objects, or text descriptions. In addition to creating personal libraries of movies, music, and photos, the system allows users to deploy Docker containers and virtual machines, enabling them to build local, standalone services and personal AI tools directly around their own files.
The official launch of the entire ORICO CyberData NAS series in the company’s official online store is scheduled for July 28, 2026. The CyberData CF6 is priced at $599.99, the CyberData CF56 is priced at $699.99, the CyberData CF56 Pro will cost $899.99, and the flagship CyberData CF1000 will cost $1,399.99.
