As representatives of the corporation stated on their official Facebook page, the warehouses stored products from the KnigoLand bookstore chain, as well as from the publishers β€œRanok,” Fabula, READBERRY, Korali Books, “Shche Odnu Strichku,” Varvar Publishing, and a number of other publishers that are also part of the RNK-Ranok publishing group. “The most important thing is that all our employees are safe, but unfortunately, there are casualties. We are currently assessing the extent of the damage and doing everything possible to resume operations as soon as possible,” the “Ranok” publishing house noted on its Instagram page. β€œWe understand that you are waiting for your orders, and we apologize for the unavoidable delay.”

It will take time to determine the extent of the damage, but it is already clear that it is enormous. Hundreds of thousands of copies were destroyed, including textbooks that had been printed and packaged for schools. The company will provide updates on warehouse operations and the process for shipping orders as soon as it is able to objectively assess the situation. As Viktor Kruglov, chairman of the supervisory board of RNK-Ranok, wrote today on his Facebook page, the fire has not yet been fully contained, and two firefighters are in the hospital due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
