The German company Sennheiser is expanding its line of audio devices with a form factor that is entirely new for the brand, introducing the Accentum Clip – its first completely wireless open-ear headphones that clip onto the ear. The product is hitting the market at a price of $220.
The Accentum Clip’s design does not include silicone earbuds that fit inside the ear canal, as the device attaches to the outer part of the ear using a flexible hook. This design was specifically developed for users who want to enjoy audio content while still being able to fully monitor their surroundings.

Each earbud weighs 6.8 g, while the total weight of the set, including the charging case, is 57 g. Buyers can choose between two standard color options: cream white and classic black. The device’s housing is IP54-rated, ensuring it remains fully functional in light rain or during intense workouts when exposed to sweat.
The new model’s sound quality is powered by a 12-millimeter dynamic driver. Since open-ear headphones traditionally suffer from sound leakage and challenges with low-frequency reproduction, Sennheiser has integrated a special internal damping system that minimizes the transmission of sound waves to people near the user.

In addition, the device features a dynamic equalizer designed to automatically adjust the frequency response based on the volume level. When you listen to music at low volumes, the system artificially boosts the bass and the finest nuances of the track, and as the volume increases, the frequency response gradually evens out to ensure the most balanced sound possible.
The Accentum Clip is compatible with the SBC, AAC, and LDAC audio codecs, allowing users of supported audio sources to enjoy high-resolution wireless audio playback. Wireless communication is handled by the latest Bluetooth 6.0 protocol, and the headphones support multipoint technology, which allows you to stay connected to both your phone and computer simultaneously, switching between them quickly as needed.

To ensure comfortable communication during phone calls, the manufacturer has implemented an Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) algorithm, which effectively blocks out extraneous background noise and focuses on the speaker’s voice. Track and call control is handled via touch-sensitive areas located on the back of the earbuds. They support a smart pause feature, and the earbuds can be used individually as a headset. All customization options, including creating equalizer profiles and remapping control gestures, are managed through the proprietary Sennheiser Smart Control Plus app, which is available for iOS and Android mobile operating systems.

The claimed battery life totals up to 36 hours, taking into account the battery capacity of the charging case, which connects via a USB-C port. In addition, this case supports fast charging, allowing you to quickly recharge the earbuds when time is limited.
