Hisense has officially launched an advertising campaign for its new smartphone with an e-ink screen, called the Hisense A10. The device’s front panel features a 6.13-inch E-Ink display designed to mimic the look of regular paper. Traditionally, this type of screen is best suited for reading e-books, taking notes, and preparing for exams, while ensuring minimal power consumption and reducing eye strain during prolonged use.
The main unique feature of this new product is located on the back of the device. The A10 model comes with an additional color LCD panel with a removable magnetic mount, which users can attach when they need to view images, comics, or color graphics, as well as for using entertainment platforms and social media apps.

Bigme previously attempted to implement a similar concept in its HiBreak Dual device, where the main E-Ink panel was also combined with an additional color screen. However, Hisense engineers proposed a different design solution that allows the owner to completely detach the color module, rather than leaving it permanently attached to the back cover.
By offering both a non-removable E-Ink display and a removable color screen, the A10 model allows users to switch between two operating modes depending on their current tasks, eliminating the need to constantly compromise on a single type of display.

In terms of technical specifications, the device’s hardware is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm processor manufactured using a 4-nanometer process. The smartphone runs on the Android 16 operating system and features built-in support for 5G mobile networks and the Wi-Fi 6 wireless standard. The official price of the device has not yet been announced, but the manufacturer is expected to price it at $590.
Hisense has been developing this lineup for quite some time. The previous model in the series, the A9, released in 2022, offered buyers a 6.1-inch E-Ink screen with a resolution of 300 PPI and was powered by the Snapdragon 662 chipset. Later, in 2025, this phone was re-released with updated configurations featuring increased RAM and storage capacities.
