Xiaomi is known for more than just its smartphones. In fact, it was one of the pioneers in the production of high-quality, affordable power banks, and it continues to expand its portfolio with these devices. The brand has introduced two new 20,000 mAh power banks with charging outputs of 45 W and 67 W. The main update to these models is that they are designed in accordance with China’s new national safety standards for portable batteries, which will take effect in 2026 (GB 47772–2026).

The 45-watt Xiaomi power bank costs 229 yuan ($34), while the 67-watt version costs about 269 yuan ($40). Both models feature a built-in USB-C cable, as well as one standard USB-C port and one USB-A port. The built-in cable fits into a special slot on the side and can double as a carrying handle. This likely means the cable is reinforced for added durability.

Both versions will be available in light brown and light blue. The 67-watt model features a digital display that shows the battery charge percentage and current charging status, while the 45-watt version has LED indicators and supports up to 45 watts for both input and output charging via USB-C ports. The 65-watt model also supports 65 watts for both input and output charging. The USB-A port, for its part, provides charging at up to 22.5 W. They support several charging standards, including PD 3.0, PPS, and QC 3.0.
If you charge multiple devices at the same time, the total output power across all ports is limited to 15 W. They also feature a low-current mode for safely charging wireless earbuds or smartwatches.

In addition, both power banks are safe for air travel, as their capacities are 74 Wh and 74.37 Wh, respectively – both below the 100 Wh limit set by commercial airlines. To comply with the new 2026 safety standards, Xiaomi has added 16 hardware protection features. The internal batteries have been tested for their ability to withstand heavy compression and temperatures up to 135°C for one hour. Another feature is the battery management system, which allows users to check the battery’s status, number of charge cycles, temperature, and charging error logs via a USB-C cable.
