OSCAL has announced the world’s first rugged smartphone based on the Qualcomm QCM6690 8-core platform. The OSCAL PILOT 8 will feature up to 48 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 7 support, a powerful Smart-PA speaker, and a massive 10,000 mAh battery that provides up to 28 days of standby time. The smartphone runs on the new DokeOS 5.0 and features the Hi Doki voice AI assistant, powered by Doke AI 2.0. The device will debut on August 17 at the brand’s official store on AliExpress.

Thanks to the Qualcomm QCM6690 8-core platform, the new OSCAL smartphone scores 1,151,934 points on AnTuTu, delivering up to 15% higher CPU performance and 30% higher GPU performance compared to the MediaTek Helio G100. It is complemented by 12 GB of RAM, expandable up to 48 GB, as well as 256 GB of flash storage, with the option to install a memory card of up to 2 TB. The smartphone supports Wi-Fi 7, Dual 5G, and Bluetooth 6.0.
The PILOT 8 offers improvements in sound quality, durability, and battery life. The smartphone is equipped with a 4.5-watt speaker, meets the MIL-STD-810H military standard, and complies with the IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance standards. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C, and its waterproof USB port, one-touch water removal, and AI Rain Touch ensure stable and reliable performance in challenging conditions. Thanks to its 10,000 mAh battery, the PILOT 8 can last up to 28 days on standby. The smartphone supports 55 W fast charging and 5 W reverse charging.
The 108 MP main camera delivers detailed, sharp photos, while the 8x zoom makes it easy to capture distant landscapes and work sites with clarity, and the 20 MP night vision camera lets you make out outlines and important details in near-total darkness. The 50 MP front-facing camera captures vibrant and natural portraits even in low light.
The PILOT 8 features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with an adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, a 240 Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Support for 1080p resolution and Widevine L1 certification allows it to play Full HD videos on Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and other leading platforms. The screen-to-body ratio is 86%. Compared to standard 60 Hz displays, the PILOT 8 delivers a sharper picture and a more immersive visual experience.
The OSCAL PILOT 8 runs on the new DokeOS 5.0, based on Android 16. Optimized across five key areas, the system delivers a smoother experience. Thanks to the Doke AI ecosystem, it integrates DeepSeek-R1, ChatGPT-4o mini, and Gemini AI 2.0, while the Hi Doki voice AI assistant supports voice activation and multimodal interaction. It understands user intent, supports multiple languages, and allows users to interrupt its operations in real time. AI features include AI Chat, AI Photos, AI Video, and AI Music, forming a complete workflow – from information retrieval to content creation.
