The first AMD driver for September is already available, and it adds support for several notable games that have either just been released or are expected to be released this very week. AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.9.1 is not WHQL-certified, but it is recommended for users planning to play Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which launches on September 4, or Rebel Wolves’ The Blood of Dawnwalker, which was released on September 2.

Both games have been added to the list of titles supporting AMD FSR technology, which significantly improves frame rates and graphics quality on graphics cards that support FSR 4.

By the way, AMD is currently running a promotion. When purchasing eligible hardware at a participating store, customers can receive a free copy of Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

The list of fixed issues contains only one item, but it will surely please players of Starfield and Apex Legends who use RX 9000 series graphics cards. AMD reported that it was able to identify and resolve an issue that was causing occasional “game crash” in these titles.

Apex Legends

This leaves a list of known issues that AMD engineers are continuing to work on:

  • When installing AI Bundle components, an installation error may occur in some regions with restricted access to HuggingFace and GitHub.
  • After installing the driver on Windows 10 systems, the AMD Smart Access Memory feature may be disabled.
  • After disabling frame generation in *Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy*, the Anti-Lag 2 feature may appear as inactive in *Software: Adrenalin Edition*.
  • Cyberpunk 2077 recommends at least 6 GB of video memory. Therefore, owners of AMD Radeon RX 9050 4GB graphics cards who are experiencing issues are advised to lower their settings or disable features that require significant graphics resources.

The updated AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.9.1 driver is now available for download via the app or on the website at this link. The official list of changes for this version is also available on the company’s official website. If you want to revert to the previous version of the driver, you’ll need to use the Cleanup Utility.
