Ubisoft has confirmed that it is developing several Assassin’s Creed games in parallel, as well as two new projects in the Far Cry franchise. CEO Yves Guillemot said that both single-player and multiplayer Assassin’s Creed titles are in the works, and two new Far Cry games are being created alongside them.
Guillemot spoke about this in a wide-ranging interview with Variety published on Friday. In the conversation, he touched upon the company’s restructuring plans, the future of key franchises, canceled projects, and other strategic decisions. The Ubisoft CEO confirmed that, in addition to “several” Assassin’s Creed games, two Far Cry installments are in production. All these projects are being created by a new Tencent-backed subsidiary, Vantage Studios, which began operations in October 2025.

“Vantage Studios has a strong development portfolio. Within the Assassin’s Creed brand, several games are being created simultaneously – both single-player and multiplayer – with the intention of further developing the community, which exceeded 30 million players last year,” Guillemot said. He also added that expectations for Far Cry remain high, and two promising projects are in development.
According to Guillemot, the transfer of management of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six to the newly created Vantage Studios allowed the teams to focus exclusively on the development of their franchises.
Currently, we already know about several Assassin’s Creed games that are being prepared for release. Among them is a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which is rumored to be released in 2026. In addition, Ubisoft is working on Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, which has not yet received a full presentation. The game was first announced with a short teaser during Ubisoft Forward in 2022. Hexe will take place during the witch trials of the 16th century. The company has not yet revealed gameplay details or set a release date, but emphasizes that this project will be significantly different from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. “I think we’re going to surprise people,” Guillemot said in 2024.
The development of the mobile game Assassin’s Creed Jade is also underway, but Ubisoft has not provided any updates on this project recently. In 2024, Guillemot confirmed that the company is preparing several remakes of previous Assassin’s Creed titles, but the details of these works have not yet been disclosed.

In the interview, Guillemot also said that Ubisoft is working on “several new IPs” and plans to share details in the near future. He also spoke about the development of film and TV projects based on the company’s games, including the Assassin’s Creed live-action series, which is being prepared for Netflix.
In addition, the production of a feature film in the Watch Dogs universe has been completed, and the creation of the live-action series Far Cry for FX is in progress.
