Users can pick from a range of shape cutouts from which they can view a part of their wallpaper (the main focus image, if any). The rest of the screen stays dark, as only the part of the wallpaper in view is bright. However, some Samsung fans express their concerns over the power consumption of this new AOD feature.
Well, the new power-efficient displays on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will help keep the power consumption of this feature down. This is the main reason why the new Samsung Galaxy S24 AOD feature isnβt coming to older devices, as they donβt have power-efficient displays. Future Samsung flagship devices will launch with this AOD feature, as they will feature the power-efficient displays on the S24 series.
