ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the ROG Crosshair 2006 motherboard. This is a “sister” to the Crosshair X870E Dark Hero, which harkens back to the first motherboard created under the ROG brand 20 years ago. It gives a retro feel with its classic colors, but is a fully modern motherboard for the demanding gamer.

The special anniversary edition will offer the most advanced gaming technology for 2026, and its advanced design makes it easy to integrate into a PC. One of the key features is a 2-inch OLED screen on the main M.2 slot that displays system information. By the way, it can be personalized with your own images or animations.

The ROG Crosshair 2006’s suite of premium features gives users complete control over their hardware. To unleash the potential of AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors, the board features an upgraded power supply system with 20(110A)+2(110A)+2 phases, ProCool II power connectors, MicroFine alloy chokes, and premium 10K black metallized capacitors. For efficient cooling, the power supply is equipped with massive heatsinks integrated with the I/O panel.

In addition, the board has received a number of improvements, such as a server-class ultra-low etching process, PCB back drilling technology, NitroPath DRAM and other solutions. A pair of PCIe 5.0 x16 slots are ready for the installation of the next generation of graphics cards. Five M.2 slots, two of which support PCIe 5.0 SSDs, allow you to create a high-speed storage system. Users also have access to ASUS‘ latest drive mounting solutions, including M.2 Q-Latch, M.2 Q-Release, and M.2 Q-Slide.

Like the ROG Crosshair X870E Dark Hero, the new product supports ASUS AIO Q-Connector. This technology is designed for gamers who want a powerful and quiet liquid cooling system but don’t like unnecessary cables. A Q-Connector-compatible SRO receives power and control signals without cables between the motherboard and the heatsink. The first liquid cooling systems to support AIO Q-Connector will be the models in the new ROG Strix LC IV series, which are expected to be available in Ukraine in mid-June.
