With the rapid spread of edge AI technologies in the commercial market, GIGABYTE Technology, a globally recognized leader in high-performance computing, has introduced the GB-BRU9-386H. This device joins the BRIX Mainstream line of ultra-compact mini-PCs, expanding the brand’s range of enterprise solutions for local AI deployment.
Built on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors based on the advanced Intel 18A technology standard, the new product demonstrates an impressive increase in neural module performance. The NPU performance has increased by 75% compared to the previous generation devices and reaches 50 TOPS, which significantly accelerates the processing of neural network models and increases the overall computing power of the system.

While maintaining the traditional compactness of the BRIX family, the latest BRIX Mainstream model has a body volume of only 0.46 liters and an extremely thin profile with a thickness of 35 mm. These dimensions make it easy to place the equipment in areas where space is at a premium. Designed to meet the specific needs of modern business – from retail and industrial automation to video surveillance and medical imaging – this platform provides high computing speed, minimal latency, and secure processing of confidential data directly at the point of use.
The role of the flagship in the updated BRIX Mainstream series goes to the GB-BRU9-386H modification, which is based on the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H chip, which combines the central, graphics, and neural processors on a single chip for the most efficient execution of complex tasks and intensive AI computing. Thanks to the built-in Intel Graphics core, the system delivers up to 40 TOPS of GPU power, which is complemented by 50 TOPS from the NPU. This combination guarantees fast AI inference, machine vision systems, and real-time processing of information flows, which is essential for edge AI and smart robotics. As for the memory and storage subsystem, the GB-BRU9-386H is capable of 128GB of DDR5-6400 RAM and features two M.2 NVMe SSD slots, providing fast file access speeds, smooth multitasking, and the potential for further capacity expansion.

Designed to be easily integrated into existing work environments, the BRIX GB-BRU9-386H Mini PC is equipped with a large number of I/O interfaces for seamless connection to a variety of equipment and systems. This increases the value of the device in areas such as smart medicine, smart video surveillance, digitalized factories, and modern retail. In the healthcare industry, the hardware allows for local AI analysis and high-definition graphics, which is in demand when examining bone marrow smears or analyzing colonoscopic images.
At the same time, low latency and reliable protection of patients’ personal data are guaranteed when working within the internal IT infrastructure of hospitals. In the security segment, a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports and two USB4 connectors allow the camera to display images on four 4K displays at once, providing conditions for multi-screen monitoring, recording perimeter violations, and prompt decision-making.

In automated manufacturing and robotics, the platform successfully handles computer vision, warehouse logistics, and deep learning tasks, making it an ideal node for autonomous mobile robots, robotic manipulators, or edge gateways. In the retail sector, the computer will be an excellent basis for interactive information displays and self-service terminals. Reliable communication and high-speed real-time data exchange required to synchronize multiple devices are implemented through a 2.5GbE LAN network controller and Intel Wi-Fi 7 wireless module, which greatly facilitates the deployment of the system in any smart environment.
