Motorola has unveiled its new Moto G Max (Moto G87) smartphone, which successfully combines ruggedized body, advanced high-resolution optics and a large AMOLED screen in the mid-range price segment. The mobile device comes pre-installed with Android 16 operating system and offers users reliable design protection along with internal equipment focused on photo content creation and daily multimedia entertainment.
The device’s specifications and features include a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1272×2772 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. According to Motorola, this panel is capable of demonstrating a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits, which makes it much easier to read information in direct sunlight on the street. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and it also supports Adaptive Refresh Rate technology to maintain an optimal balance between smooth animation and energy consumption.

The hardware basis of the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 microprocessor, which works in tandem with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB storage. In addition, the device supports the option of virtual RAM expansion, which allows you to increase its capacity up to 16 GB. The gadget runs on Android 16 and is equipped with a fingerprint scanner integrated into the display, a face recognition system, an NFC module, dual SIM card slots with eSIM technology, and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.
For taking photos and videos, Moto G Max has a 200-megapixel main camera equipped with an optical image stabilization system. The rear panel also houses an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module with a 120-degree viewing angle. The front panel is equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera that allows you to record videos with a resolution of up to 2K at 30 frames per second.

The smartphone is powered by a 5200 mAh battery that supports Motorola’s proprietary 33W TurboPower fast charging technology. Motorola claims that this battery can provide up to 35 hours of battery life on a single full charge. The level of protection of the case is another key feature of the device, as it is certified to IP66, IP68, IP69 and military standard MIL-STD-810H, which guarantees the device’s performance in conditions of dust, full immersion in water, powerful water jets under high pressure and other difficult external factors.

Motorola has set the price of Moto G Max at $490. Buyers are offered two color options for the case: Azul Carlo (blue) and Grafite (graphite).
