Redmi launched international sales of the Watch 6 a few months after the device’s October debut in the Chinese market in 2025. Compared to the previous generation model, the new product stands out for its larger display area, sleeker body profile, and significantly longer battery life.
The main advantage of the gadget is its autonomy, which reaches twenty-four days. A standard version and an NFC variant are entering the international car market. The smartwatch is equipped with a 2.07-inch AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and symmetrical bezels only 2 mm wide. The screen occupies 82% of the frontal area, and its maximum brightness reaches 2000 nits, which is complemented by the functions of activation when the hand is raised and the display is always on. Power supply is guaranteed by a 550 mAh battery that can withstand 24 days of minimal use, 12 days of standard use, and a week of heavy use. The 9.9 mm thick one-piece aluminum body is 1.4 mm thinner than its predecessor.

The navigation system is represented by an autonomous dual-frequency L1 GNSS module that works with five satellite networks and automatically switches antennas depending on the position of the hand. The functionality of the device includes more than 150 types of workouts, 5ATM waterproofing, round-the-clock monitoring of heart rate and blood oxygen content. There are also tools for analyzing stress, sleep quality, and monitoring women’s health, and the NFC module in the appropriate version allows for contactless payments via Visa and Mastercard.
Reducing the thickness of the case to 9.9 mm allows the device to fit under the sleeves of clothing. Technological improvements in materials have led to a 20% increase in Vickers hardness and a 40% increase in yield strength, which guarantees better protection against mechanical damage during everyday use. An additional mechanical button simplifies interaction: it allows you to instantly open the settings, shutdown menu or call for emergency assistance, minimizing the need for touch control while driving.

The GNSS implementation with adaptive antenna selection deserves special attention. Since the position of the wrist is constantly changing during running or other exercises, conventional sensors can lose accuracy. The Redmi system automatically detects the strongest signal between the two antennas, ensuring stable tracking. The support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS makes this gadget one of the best equipped in its price segment.
