Sony is expanding its line of premium audio devices with the introduction of a new Sand Pink color for the WH-1000XM6 full-size headphones, as well as the release of the WF-1000XM6 wireless in-ear headphones with an updated noise cancellation system and redesigned design. The full-size Sony WH-1000XM6, which first appeared in May 2025, has received a new Sand Pink color option, which complements the already available Black, Platinum Silver and Midnight Blue. The price is $459.99 at launch.

The model uses the QN3 HD Noise Canceling Processor, which is about 7 times faster than previous generations. The active noise cancellation system is based on 12 microphones and the Adaptive NC Optimizer, which constantly analyzes the environment and headphone fit to adjust the noise reduction efficiency.
The drivers have been redesigned to improve the sound, and the final tuning was performed with the participation of mastering engineers from Sterling Sound, Battery Studios and Coast Mastering. The headphones support LDAC for high-resolution audio transmission, as well as Edge-AI with DSEE Extreme technology for upscaling compressed audio files.

Among the design changes are a vegan leather headband, soft elastic ear cushions, and the return of the folding mechanism, which made the case more compact and added a magnetic clasp. Controls are implemented via a touch panel combined with physical buttons, including a separate microphone mute function. Additional features include Auto Ambient Sound mode for controlling ambient sounds, Game EQ for shooters, and Cinema 360 Reality Audio Upmix for watching movies. The battery life reaches 40 hours without active noise reduction. Integrated Processor V2 is responsible for the stable operation of adaptive algorithms.
At the same time, Sony introduced the WF-1000XM6 wireless headphones, claiming approximately 25% improvement in noise cancellation performance compared to the WF-1000XM5, especially in the mid- and high-frequency range, which is typical for everyday noise. The model is equipped with the HD Noise Canceling Processor QN3e along with the Integrated Processor V2. Each earbud now has 4 microphones instead of 3, which work with the Adaptive Noise Canceling Optimizer to continuously analyze ambient noise and fit quality, compensating for sound leakage when the ear cushions are not fully sealed.

The new Noise Isolation Earbud Tips are available in 4 sizes, and the housing itself is about 11% thinner and better adapted to the anatomy of the inner ear. A special ventilation design reduces internal noise generated by movement or chewing.
The audio system uses dual processors, improved DAC amplification and support for 32-bit processing. The driver combines a soft edge for bass with a hard dome for high frequencies. It supports Hi-Res Audio Wireless, DSEE Extreme, 360 Reality Audio, 10-band equalizer in the Sound Connect app, head tracking and Background Music Effect.

Call quality is ensured by bone conduction sensors, dual microphones with AI-beamforming, and an AI-based noise cancellation system for each earbud separately. Improved connectivity thanks to antennas that are 1.5 times larger than the previous generation. LE Audio is supported. The battery life is up to 8 hours, or up to 24 hours with a charging case. Wireless charging of the Qi standard is provided. WF-1000XM6 will start at $329.99 in Black and Platinum Silver colors.
