Enabling this feature significantly reduces the frequency of voice prompts from the navigation system, making them as brief and concise as possible. Drivers will not miss any critical instructions regarding maneuvers, lane changes, or hazards ahead, but these prompts will be heard much less frequently, freeing up audio space for a more comfortable listening experience. This feature is also now becoming available to users worldwide on both mobile operating systems.
In addition, the voice-based information system – already familiar to users – which leverages the power of Gemini to quickly send alerts about road conditions such as traffic jams, has received a significant enhancement. From now on, users can use this tool to suggest corrections directly to the app’s map database if they notice a road closure or a change to a specific address. The company has paid special attention to two-wheeled vehicle owners by creating a specialized mode for motorcycles. It operates using artificial intelligence algorithms, taking into account specific road restrictions and available routes to plot the most efficient paths and predict arrival times as accurately as possible. This mode places special emphasis on identifying hazards that pose a serious threat to the life and health of motorcyclists, including potholes, man-made bumps, raised crosswalks, narrowed shoulders, or bridges that are too narrow. To support this initiative, a separate group of motorcycle-riding moderators has been recruited to continuously monitor for new hazardous sections and add them to the map.
