The Tronsmart Mirtune H1 wireless speaker is a rare case in many years. In fact, this might be the first time in my life that I intentionally requested… a speaker from a manufacturer. I usually only ask for headphones – and even then, not very often.

For a very simple reason – I don’t listen to music through speakers, not even from my laptop or smartphone. I always use… headphones. Still, I requested two speakers. And there are three reasons for that.

Video about Tronsmart Mirtune H1
Price and stereo pair
First, the abnormal heat makes it unbearable to wear headphones – even in-ear models have become uncomfortable. At the same time, I don’t want my neighbors hearing what music I listen to or what videos I watch.

The Tronsmart Mirtune H1 saves the day because, despite its price of just around $26 per unit, it supports stereo pairing. That means you can buy two speakers – in either of the two available colors – press the stereo pairing button, and create your own wireless stereo system. All you need to do is connect via Bluetooth.

The great thing about a stereo pair is that you don’t need high volume to hear everything clearly. If music is playing from my phone while I’m filming a video, I often move closer to or farther from the sound source – and fluctuations in volume can be distracting.

If I place one H1 speaker at one end of the room and the other at the opposite end, I’ll essentially be surrounded by sound. That way, I don’t need to crank up the volume to hear everything clearly. Plus, I can either place the speakers down or hang them up – and that brings me to the second reason I specifically wanted these models: the hook on top.
Versatility
In my studio, there are countless spots where that hook comes in handy – from the headphone hook under the desk to the clamps behind the green screen. The speaker stays out of frame but remains perfectly audible. And thanks to its lightweight design – under 300 grams – I can hang it even in places where heavier items would feel risky, like the shower curtain rings.

Because – and this is the third advantage – I often use the speaker in the shower, thanks to its IPX7 water resistance. Sure, it’s not IP69 with MIL-STD-810H certification, but it’s more than enough to survive being submerged in water up to 1 meter deep for as long as 30 minutes.

Of course, it’s an exposed Type-C port – no protective flap – but making a Type-C water-resistant isn’t particularly difficult. Just look at the Motorola Edge 60 Pro: it has an IP69 rating without any cover on the Type-C port. Now add to that 20 hours of battery life at 50% volume, support for the brand’s companion app with customizable EQ settings – and remember, all of this costs just $26.
Conclusions
Of course, I wouldn’t recommend the Tronsmart Mirtune H1 to just anyone – after all, I’m not a fan of loud music playing in neighbors’ homes either. But during hot weather, when headphones become uncomfortable, this speaker can be a real lifesaver. It’s affordable, portable, has solid battery life, and is durable. Would I recommend it? Yes, I would.
