Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on PC on March 19, Kojima Productions announced during the State of Play presentation. The game is already available for pre-order. For the PC port, the studio collaborated with Nixxes Software, a Dutch company that Sony acquired in 2021 to adapt PlayStation games to computers.

The sequel takes place in Australia about a year after the end of the first part. Players will once again find themselves in a post-apocalyptic world with strange creatures and take control of Sam Porter Bridges, whose task is to unite the survivors through the chiral network communication system.

The PC version will receive a number of technical improvements. It will support scaling and frame generation technologies from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel, unlocked frame rates, and the ability to play in 4K resolution.
There is support for ultra-wide monitors with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and super-wide monitors with a format of 32:9. In terms of sound, 3D audio is available via Dolby Access and DTS Sound Unbound, as well as Windows Sonic for headphones. Control is possible both with the keyboard and mouse and via the DualSense controller.
The pre-order is already open on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $70, with bonus in-game items. The Digital Deluxe version costs $10 more and includes additional game materials.
