Every year, the Steam Summer Sale is one of the biggest sales events hosted by Valve. This year’s event has just kicked off, and as part of this massive sale, discounts are available on practically everything – from the latest games and retro hits to a wide variety of DLCs. However, as always, the massive influx of PC users caused Steam’s servers to become overloaded immediately after the sale began, so prices, store pages, and certain services may not function properly for a while until the server infrastructure stabilizes.
This time around, even some relatively recently released games are on sale, though the discounts aren’t particularly large. If you’re not sure what you want and are looking for recommendations, check out the sale’s homepage, as new selections of titles will be featured there every day. At the same time, keep in mind that the discount amounts themselves won’t change and will remain the same throughout the entire sale.

Currently, such hits as Clair Obscur Expedition 33 (-20%, which may seem like a small discount, but still nice), Split Fiction, Red Dead Redemption II, Battlefield 6, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Baldur’s Gate 3, Resident Evil Requiem, Anno 117, Arc Raiders, Black Ops 7, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and many others.
Valve has also brought back the special Deep Discounts section, which features especially tempting deals on the best games of all time. Although it’s part of the same sale, it features only games with discounts of at least 85%, and for some titles, the discounts reach 95%. Among the games featured here are The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Dead Space, Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry 4, Wreckfest, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, The Quarry, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, and many others.

The Steam Summer Sale 2026 will run until July 9, so you’ll have two full weeks to try to resist overspending. Good luck with that challenging task.
