In 2025, GIGABYTE is bringing a new flagship graphics card to market, aimed at delivering a new level of performance and reliability. The GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16G represents a notable technological step forward, combining advanced materials, an efficient cooling system, and high clock speeds in a single package.

At the heart of the new graphics card is the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU, paired with 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory and a 256-bit memory interface. According to GIGABYTE’s press release, the card’s game clock has been increased from 2400 MHz to 2520 MHz, while the boost clock now reaches an impressive 3060 MHz. These gains were made possible by a completely redesigned cooling system.

The centerpiece of the cooling system is GIGABYTE’s next-generation WINDFORCE cooler, which has undergone significant design changes this year. A standout feature of the system is the Hawk Fan, equipped with eagle-wing-shaped blades for improved airflow and efficiency.

This design increases air pressure by 54% and airflow performance by 12%, ensuring effective cooling even at low fan speeds.

At low loads, the fans can stop completely, allowing for silent operation. Additionally, the system features a mode switch, letting users choose between quiet operation or maximum performance based on their current needs.

Another innovative feature is the use of graphene lubricant in the fan bearings, which GIGABYTE claims doubles the cooler’s lifespan while significantly reducing noise levels. Instead of standard thermal paste, the company opted for a new thermal conductive gel that better fills surface irregularities, maintains its properties during installation, and enhances durability.

Additionally, the PCB and components of the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16G adhere to the Ultra Durable concept. This means the manufacturer used high-quality parts designed to enhance stability even under demanding conditions. Key features include solid-state capacitors, metal chokes, a dual-layer copper PCB, and low RDS(on) MOSFETs.

The cooling system also features a large vapor chamber, seven copper heat pipes, and a Screen Cooling radiator for improved heat dissipation. It’s reinforced with an L-shaped backplate to prevent PCB bending. For a premium look, the card includes RGB lighting and power indicators on its three 8-pin connectors.

To customize the graphics card settings, users can use the GIGABYTE CONTROL CENTER utility. It allows switching between performance modes, monitoring temperatures, and controlling the device’s lighting.
