Xiaomi recently introduced the Xiaomi 15T smartphone series, which includes two models – the standard 15T and the 15T Pro. These devices are designed for users who value mobile photography, as both feature Leica Summilux optics.
To accompany the release, Xiaomi announced a special promotion: customers who purchase any model from the 15T series via the brand’s official AliExpress store will receive a free Redmi Pad 2 tablet (8GB RAM, 256GB storage) with their order. The offer is valid until October 15.
The Xiaomi 15T features a triple-camera system developed in collaboration with Leica. The module includes a main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens with a focal range of 15–92 mm. The primary camera, equipped with Leica Summilux optics and an ƒ/1.7 aperture, is designed to capture sharp, high-contrast images even in low-light conditions.
The smartphone is equipped with Xiaomi’s AI-powered AISP 2.0 platform, which manages color accuracy and natural tone reproduction. Portrait photography enthusiasts will benefit from the updated Master Portrait mode, which allows adjustment of focal lengths and aperture effects, as well as access to an extended selection of bokeh styles. The Xiaomi T series also introduces the Leica Street Photography Mode for the first time, enabling users to take photos directly from the lock screen while selecting classic focal lengths of 28 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, or 75 mm.
Additionally, the device supports 4K HDR10+ video recording at 30 fps across all focal lengths.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, with performance stability maintained through Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop cooling system. Its battery provides up to 13.3 hours of continuous use, while the device itself measures under 8 mm in thickness and supports 67 W HyperCharge fast charging. The Xiaomi Surge chip helps extend overall battery lifespan.
The device features a 6.83‑inch display with a 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3200 nits.
The 15T model also introduces Xiaomi’s Astral Communication system and, for the first time, the Xiaomi Offline Communication feature. This allows voice communication between two 15T devices at distances of up to 1.3 km, and between 15T Pro models at up to 1.9 km, without relying on a mobile network or Wi-Fi.
The Xiaomi 15T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, built using a 3 nm process. It features a 6.83‑inch display with 1.5 mm bezels, a 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3200 nits. DC Dimming and Flicker-Free technologies are included to reduce eye strain during extended use.
The 15T Pro also has a triple-camera system developed in collaboration with Leica, covering focal lengths from 15 mm to 230 mm. Its main 50‑megapixel camera, equipped with Leica Summilux optics and an ƒ/1.62 aperture, delivers high-detail images even in challenging lighting conditions. In addition, the setup includes a 5x telephoto Leica Pro lens, a first for the Xiaomi T series. This lens supports 5x optical zoom and up to 10x optical-level magnification, with Ultra Zoom 2.0 software extending detail and clarity up to 20x for distant subjects.
The portrait mode includes tools with new Wide and Bubbles bokeh effects, along with options to adjust focal length and aperture individually. The Xiaomi T series also introduces Leica Street Photography mode, allowing users to take photos directly from the lock screen. Classic focal lengths of 28 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, 75 mm, or 135 mm can be selected. The main camera supports 4K video recording at 120 fps, while all rear cameras are capable of recording 4K HDR10+ video at 30 fps.
The battery provides up to 15.3 hours of continuous use and supports 90 W fast charging, as well as 50 W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 3D IceLoop system effectively manages heat to ensure stable performance.
The smartphone also incorporates Xiaomi Astral Communication and Xiaomi Offline Communication technologies. It has an IP68 rating, allowing submersion in fresh water up to 3 m, and features a durable, impact-resistant body. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
