JBL has officially unveiled the Live Buds 4 and Live Beam 4, updating its lineup of premium true wireless earbuds with an improved Smart Charging Case. The most affordable series combines improved sound quality, more flexible controls, and AI-powered voice features, offering a range of innovations for everyday comfort.

The highlight of the JBL Live 4 series is the next-generation Smart Charging Case, powered by JBL Smart OS 3.0. The case features a larger touchscreen with an updated interface, allowing you to view notifications, switch between equalizer profiles, scroll through tracks, set up quick shortcuts, and change the background image without having to take out your phone.
Both new models feature 10-millimeter dynamic drivers and Hi-Res Audio certification. The devices also support JBL Spatial Sound, the Personi-Fi 3.0 personalized sound customization technology, Personal Sound Amplification, and Low Volume EQ. In addition, JBL has updated its True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 system, implementing more precise algorithms for more effective suppression of ambient noise.
Voice quality is ensured by a 6-microphone system with support for Perfect Calls 2.0 – an AI-trained noise-cancellation algorithm. Call Equalizer and Sound Level Optimizer also contribute to clear communication.
Battery life varies by model. The JBL Live Buds 4 offers up to 32 hours of playback with Bluetooth and noise cancellation enabled, or up to 40 hours with noise cancellation turned off. Meanwhile, the JBL Live Beam 4 guarantees up to 40 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation and up to 48 hours without it. Both devices support wireless charging, and a 10-minute charge provides up to 4 hours of listening time.
JBL has priced the Live Buds 4 and Live Beam 4 at ~$260 each. The JBL Live Buds 4 are available in black, blue, silver, and sand, while the JBL Live Beam 4 comes in black, blue, green, silver, orange, purple, and sand.
