The film’s creators emphasize that the film’s release on one of the world’s most influential online streaming services will make it possible to inform the international community on an even larger scale about the Ukrainian people’s struggle for liberation. “The debut on Netflix is yet another opportunity to reveal the true facts about Ukraine’s resistance to the world through the medium of modern cinema,” the GUR stated in its post.

“Killhouse” is an extremely dynamic and suspenseful action thriller. The main storyline revolves around a civilian couple who accidentally find themselves at the center of a dangerous special operation carried out by Ukrainian elite units. When the couple’s vehicle comes under enemy fire in temporarily occupied territories, Ukrainian defenders launch an operation to rescue them. The situation escalates dramatically when it becomes clear that their 14-year-old daughter is being held captive by Russian invaders.

An American journalist, who arrived in Ukraine to report on the activities of the International Legion, witnesses the unfolding of this rescue mission firsthand. Eventually, the foreign correspondent faces a serious dilemma: to agree to a safe evacuation or to remain in the danger zone, risking her own life to report the truth and save people.
A key feature of this film is that direct participants in combat operations and veterans of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in its production. In particular, representatives of the International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate took part in the filming, and one of the unit’s soldiers, Volodymyr Kaminskyi, even played a full-fledged role in the film. By involving real military personnel, the filmmakers sought to recreate the atmosphere of war with the utmost accuracy and to showcase the recent history of the Ukrainian state to the world through the lens of a movie camera.
