Logitech has updated one of its most popular entry-level wireless gaming mice. The company has unveiled an upgraded version of the classic G305, which is now significantly lighter and features modern components. The mouse is called the G305 X Superlight, and despite its significant upgrades, it retains an affordable price of $79.99.

The original G305 was quite heavy by today’s standards due to its use of a replaceable AA battery. In the G305 X Superlight, the company switched to a built-in rechargeable battery, reducing the total weight to 59 g. Logitech also used exposed screws on the exterior of the case. According to the manufacturer, this design is intended to simplify disassembly and repair of the mouse, which will help extend its service life.

Inside is a new HERO sensor. It supports a resolution of up to 44,000 DPI, operates with acceleration exceeding 40G, and provides a tracking speed of 678 inches per second. The standard polling rate is 1,000 Hz when using the included USB-A receiver. For those who need even lower input latency, the mouse is compatible with Logitech’s PRO Wireless Receiver, which is sold separately and allows you to increase the polling rate to 8,000 Hz.

In terms of connectivity, the device supports three modes: Logitech’s proprietary Lightspeed wireless technology at 2.4 GHz, standard Bluetooth, and a wired connection via USB-C. According to Logitech’s estimates, a single full battery charge lasts for approximately 130 hours of continuous use. The battery supports fast charging – just two minutes of charging is enough to provide approximately 3.5 hours of use.

It features an unusual design that allows the body to be folded in half.
