Motorola’s Edge 70 series lineup may soon be expanded with another new model. Renders and detailed information about the Motorola Edge 70 Max smartphone have appeared online, offering a sneak peek at the design and features of this promising premium model. Judging by the published images, the Motorola Edge 70 Max has inherited the manufacturer’s signature design elements, featuring flat side edges, minimal bezels around the screen, and a centrally located circular cutout for the front-facing camera. The phone is shown in three color variants: Onyx Black, Sage Green, and Glacier Blue.

On the back of the device is a square camera module housing the main 50-megapixel camera, built around a Sony Lytia sensor and equipped with optical image stabilization. Alongside the main lens, this area also houses an additional camera and a third auxiliary sensor. The exact technical specifications of these two components have not yet been disclosed, but leaked information suggests that Motorola intends to appeal to an audience interested in high-quality photography but not planning to purchase extremely expensive flagship devices.

Among other important features, it’s worth noting compliance with the MIL-STD-810H durability standard, which confirms the designers’ special focus on the smartphone’s reliability and durability. In addition, a separate physical button is visible on the left edge of the body, the purpose of which remains a mystery for now. In one of the renders, the device is also shown docked on a round wireless charging station, indicating compatibility with the Qi2 magnetic ecosystem and support for this charging method.

According to available information, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which is also used in the more expensive and premium Motorola Signature smartphone. Many other specifications are currently being kept under wraps, including battery capacity, supported charging power, display specifications, and retail price. Furthermore, it remains unclear whether the Motorola Edge 70 Max is the same device that appeared in previous rumors under the name Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. Motorola has not yet provided any official confirmation, but the quality and nature of the leaked images suggest that the new device will be released very soon.
