Motorola has officially unveiled the Edge 70 Pro smartphone, adding to its lineup of premium mid-range devices. The new product focuses on performance, image quality and long battery life, targeting customers looking for a balanced smartphone experience. The Edge 70 Pro has a 6.8-inch pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The panel supports a refresh rate of 144 Hz and is capable of reaching peak brightness of up to 5200 nits. Certifications include HDR10+, 10-bit color depth, and Pantone color accuracy.

The device is powered by a Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor combined with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The smartphone runs on Android 16 and will receive three years of operating system updates and five years of security patches. Power is provided by a 6500 mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
The photo system consists of three modules of 50 megapixels each: the main camera is equipped with an optical image stabilizer, the ultra-wide-angle lens supports macro photography, and the front camera is capable of shooting video in 4K resolution. The device also offers a set of AI-powered tools for taking and editing photos.

The stereo speakers are configured with Dolby Atmos. The device has IP68 and IP69 protection ratings and meets military ruggedness standards. Wireless capabilities include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Edge 70 Pro is available in several Pantone-inspired colors: Lily White, Tea, and Titan.

The 8GB RAM version will cost about $415, while the 12GB RAM version is priced at about $450. Sales will begin on April 29. Motorola also plans to launch the Edge 70 Pro+ model in the near future. There has been no official confirmation yet, but the announcement is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
