Motorola’s new generation of foldable smartphones is gradually revealing details. Thanks to insider Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as OnLeaks, the first CAD renders and a 360-degree view of the senior model, the Razr 70 Ultra, have appeared on the Web. The smartphone gets a large external display that wraps around a dual camera module. This solution has already proved to be convenient, as it allows users to quickly access applications without having to open the device.
According to the renders, the back panel “looks” like metal, which indicates a departure from the experimental materials used earlier. At the same time, it is possible that alternative body options (for example, made of wood) will also remain. The layout of the controls remains practical: there is a separate Moto AI button on the left, and standard power and volume keys on the right.

According to leaks, the smartphone will have dimensions of 171.3×74.1×7.8 mm when unfolded, and 88.0×74.1×15.8 mm when folded, or up to 17.63 mm with the camera protrusion. Thus, the device will be slightly thicker than the previous model. Formally, this may look like a step backward, but in practice, such an increase often means improvements, such as a larger battery or improved cameras. Recently, the Razr 70 appeared in the Chinese 3C certification database, where it was reported to support 33W fast charging.

At the same time, the height and width of the smartphone remain almost unchanged, so the feel in the hand should remain familiar. The displays are also expected to remain unchanged and will be about 7″ for the internal screen and about 4″ for the external. Motorola’s external display is already considered one of the most functional in this segment, as it allows you to run full applications without opening the device.

The Razr 70 Ultra should compete with models such as the Samsung Galaxy Flip8 and other foldable smartphones in this form factor. Motorola’s strength remains the large and user-friendly external screen, while Samsung focuses on the software and ecosystem.

For users switching from older devices, even these minor updates can be noticeable in everyday use. At the same time, owners of the Razr 60 Ultra may find the new device only a minor upgrade if Motorola doesn’t offer significant improvements to battery life or cameras. The official presentation date has not yet been announced. The Razr 70 series is expected to debut in China first, followed by other markets.
