Samsung has announced another Galaxy Event, which will take place on August 27. The event will be streamed on the tech giant’s official website and its YouTube channel and will begin at 3:00 p.m. Kyiv time (12:00 p.m. GMT/5:00 a.m. PDT). The company hasn’t explicitly named the product, but leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE could be the star of the presentation. The company typically unveils FE (Fan Edition) versions of its S-series smartphones at a separate event, rather than alongside its flagship lineup.

Fan Edition smartphones are more affordable versions of the flagships, though they remain more expensive than true mid-range devices. Some view them as a more affordable entry point into Samsung’s flagship family. In its announcement, the company stated that the S26 series device, which it will unveil on August 27, was developed with the key features of the main smartphone series in mind, including the camera, AI, and the latest version of One UI.

Several leaks have already revealed what to expect from the smartphone. According to insider reports, the Galaxy S26 FE will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will feature an Exynos 2500 chipset and a somewhat underwhelming 4,900 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. It seems Samsung has taken a conservative approach to battery capacity, especially compared to some competing flagships. But 45-watt fast charging should make the 4,900 mAh battery relatively convenient to recharge.

According to leaks, the Galaxy S26 FE will feature a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8 MP telephoto camera. For selfies and video calls, the device will have a 12 MP front-facing camera. The smartphone will also feature IP68-rated water and dust resistance, Gorilla Glass Victus+, and an aluminum frame. Despite its design and specs, the device will be quite slim – its total thickness will be just 7.4 mm.
