The next-generation gaming flagship from RedMagic has already appeared in the benchmark database, and the performance it demonstrated is causing a real stir. According to the Geekbench 6 listing, the device with the model number nubia NX809J, which is identified as RedMagic 11S Pro+, managed to break the 4000 mark during testing in single-core mode.

According to Chinese blogger @肥威, no Android smartphone has ever officially achieved this result in Geekbench 6. The entry, which appeared on May 10, recorded a peak score of 4,010 units, after which it was deleted. However, many other results in the database still demonstrate more than 3900 points in single-core and more than 12000 points in multi-core tests.

The reports mention the QTI SM8850 processor with a clock frequency of 3628 MHz and eight cores. The atypical ARMv8 architecture marking and the increased frequency indicate the use of a non-standard chip configuration that goes beyond Qualcomm’s basic specifications. The secret of this performance jump lies in RedMagic’s strategy for selecting components for Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The company openly declares the process of binning – thorough testing of individual crystals to select the best silicon samples. Such specimens are able to operate stably at much higher frequencies than conventional mass-produced units installed in mass-produced devices.

The result of 4000 points in the single-core test is of great practical importance, as this parameter determines the response speed of game engines, smoothness of the interface, and minimization of delays in critical tasks. For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max demonstrates about 3900-4000 points in this system. The achievement of this level by an Android device is a significant event, as standard versions of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in regular smartphones usually deliver between 3500 and 3700 points. The frequency of 3628 MHz recorded by the benchmark is significantly higher than Qualcomm’s default settings, which ensured this gap.

In addition to the main processor, RedMagic 11S Pro+ is equipped with a specialized Redcore R4 gaming chip and the CUBE Sky Gaming Engine. The manufacturer promises support for more than 200 games in resolutions up to 2K and with a frame rate of 144 fps. This is made possible by the technologies of simultaneous frame interpolation and resolution upscaling. Importantly, Redcore R4 takes over some of the graphics computing, offloading the CPU and reducing the heat load on the system during intense gaming sessions.

However, setting benchmark records is only part of the story. The main challenge remains the ability to maintain this power over time. RedMagic’s cooling system is designed to meet this challenge by combining an active fan, evaporation chamber, and liquid cooling elements. How effectively this design will keep Snapdragon’s peak frequencies beyond short tests will become clear during real-world gaming loads.

RedMagic 11S Pro+

The official presentation of the entire RedMagic 11S Pro line in China is scheduled for May 18. At the same time, a new gaming tablet is expected to be announced, the exact release date of which has not yet been disclosed. Based on benchmarking data, chip selection system, and the availability of the Redcore R4 auxiliary processor, RedMagic is confidently positioning its new products as the most powerful solutions in the Android world, surpassing the capabilities of standard flagship platforms.
