The OnePlus Strix G15 controller, better known as Gun God, currently works exclusively with the Ace 6 Ultra smartphone. However, the situation will change very soon. The product page in the OPPO Shop has confirmed that four more models will be added to the list of compatible devices next month: OnePlus 15, Ace 6, Ace 6T, and Turbo 6.
The controller itself is quite different from other mobile gaming solutions, and most users have not yet gained a full understanding of its capabilities.
The name Gun God is a direct translation from Chinese, and in the original it is a phrase from gaming slang that means a high-level player in first-person shooters. This immediately indicates the target audience of the device. The controller is not a universal accessory, it is designed specifically for competitive FPS games like PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Delta Force.
The design is also subordinated to this task. Traditional mobile controllers have joysticks and buttons that complement touch controls. The Strix G15 takes a different approach: it attaches to a smartphone, leaves the screen completely open for touch input, and adds four physical mechanical triggers with a 1.8 ms response time on the back – exactly where fingers are naturally positioned when playing with two hands. The built-in antenna improves wireless connectivity during online matches. In addition, the rear panel has a magnetic slot for a Super Freezing Point 40W cooler. It helps to avoid overheating during long gaming sessions.

The compatibility expansion in June is important. The Ace 6 Ultra is a flagship device, currently only available in China. The addition of support for the OnePlus 15, which is sold globally, opens up the controller to a much wider audience. Meanwhile, the Ace 6, Ace 6T, and Turbo 6 models cover different price segments in the OnePlus gaming ecosystem, so the accessory will be available not only for owners of flagship gadgets.
It is likely that each of the smartphones will require a software update that will allow them to use the device’s functions to the maximum. Physical connection via USB-C is already possible on some of these models, but full button customization and optimization of the polling rate require support at the operating system level. At the same time, the list of compatible devices for June does not include OnePlus 13, which is likely to cause dissatisfaction among owners of the previous generation of flagships.
