Prime Video has officially announced the release dates for the next season of its popular series *Reacher*, as well as for its upcoming spin-off titled *Neagley*. The return of the streaming service’s military police stars to the screen is already scheduled for specific dates.
The fourth season of the main show is set to premiere on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The series will stick to its traditional release schedule: viewers will immediately have access to the first three episodes, followed by one new episode each week. This run will continue through September 16. On the very day the fourth season of “Richer” concludes, all eight episodes of the new series “Nigley” will be released simultaneously on the platform.

Along with this announcement, the service released several stills from the set of the upcoming show and briefly outlined its plot. For those who don’t remember previous events or aren’t yet familiar with the main series, it’s worth noting that former military police officer Frances Nighley now works as a private investigator in Chicago. Previously, while serving in the U.S. Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit, she was a protégé of Jack Reacher himself.
The plot of her own series will center on a complex and risky investigation: the heroine will take on the case of her longtime friend, who died in a suspicious accident. Maria Sten will reprise her role as Frances Nigley. Joining her on screen will be Grayston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolf as Rani Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones as Kino, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow, and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole. Alan Ritchson will also appear as a guest star in the role of Richer. Since the script for this project does not replicate any specific book from the print series, fans of the original source material need not worry that the protagonist’s solo adventures will be adapted without his involvement.
In addition, Prime Video representatives recently announced that their hit action series has already been greenlit for a fifth season. The show’s previous season, Season 3, delivered exceptional results, attracting 54.6 million viewers worldwide in just the first 12 days of streaming. According to the platform, no other project has achieved such high viewership figures over a similar time period since the debut season of the series *Fallout*.
It remains a mystery which novel will serve as the basis for Season 5’s plot, though the script for Season 4 was based on the author’s 13th book, *Tomorrow You Die*, published in 2009. As for the lead actor, Alan Ritchson will soon be appearing on the big screen as well: a new feature film titled *Motor City* will hit theaters in July, in which he stars alongside Shailene Woodley, Pablo Schreiber, and Ben Foster.
