Talking about the Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach without making a joke about a Twix bar is a monumental task – and not everyone could pull it off. I’m not even sure I can. But the fact remains: the H12 Dual FlexReach is probably the most compelling option for anyone serious about keeping their home clean.

Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach video review
Positioning and Price
This matters because the Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach costs around $650. It’s not the most expensive Dreame vacuum I’ve reviewed personally, but it sits at the higher end of the mid-range budget, and many consumers may find it hard to justify the purchase.

In any case, until they realize it, the Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach actually comes with two vacuums: a dedicated one for wet cleaning and a separate handheld unit for dry cleaning. And all of this comes at a price still lower than the flagship models from competitors.

The vacuum’s accessory set is substantial – and noticeable even by the weight of the box, which tips the scales at around 10 kg. Inside, there are 14 components:
- Dry cleaning module
- Wet cleaning module
- Standard metal handle for the wet module
- Multi-purpose brush for the dry module
- Motorized mini-brush for the dry module
- Base for dry module attachments
- Stand
- Charging dock
- Spare roller
- Extension for the dry module
- Cleaning brush for internal components
- Spare filter for the wet module
- Bottle of cleaning solution
It’s also worth noting positively that the basic instructions are printed directly on the box, along with a clear list of all included components. Don’t worry – detailed instructions are still provided separately inside the package.
Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach design
The overall design of the H12 Dual FlexReach is interesting because, instead of glossy black plastic or metallic-look paint, the accents on the vacuum are matte gray. Everywhere else, the body remains black.

Next, assembly is straightforward. For the wet cleaning module, you simply attach the metal handle, and the vacuum is ready to use, as it doesn’t support interchangeable attachments. The handheld module, however, does support both attachments and extensions.
Charging and Battery Life
The charging dock is designed for the wet cleaning module, while the stand for attachments is intended for the dry module, since that’s where all the accessories are stored. How does the dry cleaning module charge? It doesn’t – because Dreame didn’t include two entirely separate vacuums in the box. Both modules share a single removable 400 W motor and a single 76.68 Wh battery.

In other words, you install the motor where you need it, charge the battery while it’s in the wet cleaning module, then move it to the dry module – or leave it in the wet module – and you’re ready to go. A single battery provides up to 50 minutes of runtime. As of now, Dreame doesn’t appear to sell these batteries separately, though that could change in the future.
Wet Cleaning
Now, let’s look at the specific modules, starting with wet cleaning. The module is fairly heavy, weighing around 5 kg, but the cleaning head glides easily, aided by additional wheels underneath. Preparation is straightforward: fill the lower tank with water and add cleaning solution. The dirty water is collected in the upper tank.

You can control the Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach using the buttons on the handle. There are three in total: one on the end for self-cleaning at the charging station, and two on the front for power and switching between cleaning modes. Available modes include an AI-powered automatic mode, turbo mode, quiet cleaning mode, and liquid suction mode.

Separate modes are dedicated to self-cleaning and drying. Like the flagship MOVA, the wet module supports cleaning at the charging station: the roller is washed with 90-degree water and dried with 90-degree air over about 5 minutes, making it ready for use again fairly quickly.

Unlike the flagship MOVA, the charging station uses suction cups, which is a clever and practical design choice. The module can still tilt downward up to 180 degrees, allowing you to vacuum under furniture with ease.
The wet module also features an in-use roller self-cleaning function, along with a hair-cutting mechanism to prevent hair from tangling on the roller. This feature is notably absent on the dry module attachments – a limitation that was also present in models like the R20.

Overall, the wet module has two main tasks: cleaning relatively clean floors with a detergent solution and quickly suctioning up liquids and moisture, from spilled soda to broken eggs. The Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach delivers a maximum suction power of 23 kPa, so even viscous liquids aren’t an issue.

Another interesting feature is a voice command button located on the back of the wet module above the battery. This isn’t a full voice assistant; it simply provides voice feedback when switching cleaning modes. The voice can be completely muted or its volume adjusted.
Dry Cleaning
Now, moving on to the dry cleaning module. It has only two operating modes: standard and turbo, which are displayed on the LED screen. Like the wet module, the display also shows the battery level.

Depending on the attachment, the dry cleaning module can vacuum dust, hair, and other debris from floors; clean corners using an extended nozzle with a passive brush; or clean cushions, mattresses, and other soft furniture with a small brush equipped with a semi-transparent shield.

The dry cleaning module is simpler in design but still highly effective. It includes HEPA filters, allowing the vacuum to capture extremely fine particles, including construction dust like the residue from drilling concrete.
A regular vacuum without HEPA filters wouldn’t be able to handle this, and attempting it could damage the vacuum. Importantly, unlike the battery, the HEPA filters are universal and easy to replace when needed.

Brief Note on Drawbacks
For me, there’s only one real drawback: the battery can’t be charged via USB-C. With a simple side port, you could charge from a power bank – even during a blackout, since the battery operates at 21.6 V. While you can still vacuum during a blackout, charging is only possible through the charging station. It would also be useful to have a second spare battery, so the wet module could charge while the dry module is in use.
Conclusions
The Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach is a versatile home cleaning solution, tackling both wet messes and dust in hard-to-reach areas. The wet cleaning module handles everyday spills and stains effectively, while the dry module reaches where it’s needed most. Greater flexibility for charging would be welcome, but even as it stands, the H12 Dual FlexReach performs either satisfactorily or impressively across its features. Overall, it comes recommended.
