The team at Santa Monica Studio has confirmed that the game will be released on February 16, 2027, and announced that development has begun on a new full-fledged installment dedicated to Kratos.
Sony first unveiled *God of War: Laufey* during the June PlayStation State of Play livestream, though the exact release date was not announced at that time. This immediately sparked speculation about possible release dates, with industry insider NateTheHate pointing to a release in the first half of 2027. Now, the developers at Santa Monica Studio have put an end to the speculation by officially setting the release date for February 16, 2027.

This news comes at a difficult time for collectors of PlayStation games.
