Take-Two Interactive has published its financial report for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, which players have been waiting for with special attention. After all, many were afraid of another postponement of the GTA VI release. However, we can exhale, the negative scenario did not come true – the publisher confirmed that the previously announced release date of November 19 remains relevant.
The marketing campaign, along with pre-orders, is expected to start in the summer. At the same time, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick traditionally refrained from disclosing details of the game’s promotion, emphasizing once again that new information will be published directly by Rockstar Games.

For the first time, he also answered a direct question about the imminent release of GTA VI on PC, although his comments remained quite cautious. “As you know, the PC market is a great market that is actively developing in the console gaming segment, and we are very enthusiastic about working in this market,” said Zelnick. – “Almost all of our hit games are eventually released on all platforms. However, at the moment Rockstar Games has announced GTA VI exclusively for consoles. We are looking forward to the game’s release on November 19.”
In fact, the question is not whether GTA VI will appear on PC, but when exactly to expect the game. So far, the only hint on the release date of the PC version is the statement of Corsair Gaming CEO Andrew Paul, who told investors in February 2025 that after the console launch, the game could appear on PC in early 2026. Although he later called it only his own speculation, the timeframe could potentially remain similar, despite the year-long postponement.

If this scenario comes true, GTA VI will be released on PC faster than the previous installments in the series. GTA IV debuted on consoles in April 2008, and the PC version appeared only in December of the same year, which is an eight-month delay. GTA V was released on consoles in September 2013, while PC users had to wait until April 2015.
Take-Two’s financial report shows strong results that exceeded analysts’ expectations. Grand Theft Auto V has approached the mark of 230 million copies sold for the entire period of time, and sales of Red Dead Redemption 2 have already reached 85 million copies. This allowed the game to gain a foothold in the third place among the best-selling video games in history. GTA Online’s domestic revenues for the quarter also increased by 5%.

Speaking of GTA Online. Strauss Zelnick emphasized that this game will continue to exist even after the release of GTA VI. “I think to say that everyone is happy with the way GTA Online, Red Dead Online, GTA V and Red Dead sales are going would be a big understatement. These games have been much more resilient than anyone could have expected, and I think that’s a testament to the quality of work that Rockstar has done,” he said. – Despite the fact that Grand Theft Auto V has been on the market for three generations of consoles, it continues to sell. Currently, 230 million copies have been sold. Red Dead – 85 million copies. We are pleased with the results of Rockstar games. It is difficult to predict how Grand Theft Auto Online will develop after the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, but it will undoubtedly remain on the market, and there are many consumers who love this game.”

Take-Two also expects fiscal year 2027 to be a breakthrough year with the launch of GTA VI. The company predicts record order volume of $8 billion to $8.2 billion and GAAP net income of $7.9 billion to $8.1 billion. In addition, the publisher announced plans to release 29 games by fiscal year 2029, of which 22 are to be released during fiscal years 2028 and 2029. These include one mobile game, five sports projects, the launch of three new franchises, and 13 games from existing franchises, including seven sequels and six remakes, remasters, and expansions.
