Samsung has officially unveiled a special version of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition foldable smartphone, created exclusively for athletes participating in the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan-Cortina. In total, about 3,800 athletes from 90 countries will receive the devices. The smartphone distribution will start on January 30 in the Olympic villages located in the six host cities, while the official opening of the Games is scheduled for February 6.
The Games will be the first Winter Olympics to feature Samsung ‘s Victory Selfie program. It will allow medalists to take personal photos right on the podium with the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition. For the 2026 Winter Olympics, the company decided to expand the concept and add the ability to take group shots for team sports so that athletes can capture moments of victory as a team.
The appearance of the smartphone emphasizes the connection with Italy as the host country of the Games. The device has a glass back panel in Italian Azure blue and a custom metal frame with gold trim, symbolizing the country’s cultural heritage and the athletes’ desire for the highest achievements. It also comes with a transparent magnetic case decorated with golden laurel branches, and the interface is complemented by an exclusive winter wallpaper inspired by skate tracks on the ice.
Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera and a set of Galaxy AI tools. These include a translator for instant real-time translation of conversations and the Now Brief feature, which generates personalized daily summaries. In addition, each athlete will receive a 100 GB 5G eSIM, as well as a pre-installed digital Coca-Cola Free Beverage Key, available via Samsung Wallet and suitable for use in the Olympic villages.

To encourage the active use of smartphones, Samsung has integrated a number of services that it considers critical to the competition. These include the Athlete365 app and the International Olympic Committee’s hotline. This approach replaces paper documentation with a digital environment, simplifying access to information, support and communications for athletes. Smartphones will also have the official Olympic Games app, the IOC Hotline and PinQuest for a more comfortable stay in the Olympic Village, and a fitness app that will allow you to track your workouts and receive personalized recommendations when using the fitness equipment installed in the Olympic and Paralympic Villages.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will not be available to the public, so over time, these devices may turn into collector’s items if any of the athletes decide to put them up for sale. The closest alternative for ordinary buyers is the standard version of Galaxy Flip7 with 256 GB of flash memory.
