Samsung will collaborate with the French company Mistral AI to enhance its capabilities in semiconductor development and manufacturing. This is expected to help the company “strengthen its leadership in AI technology for chips.” As part of the agreement, Samsung will integrate Mistral’s services and solutions into its semiconductor operations to create on-premises AI models optimized for “intelligence-driven infrastructure.”

In addition to using Mistral’s tools, the agreement stipulates that Samsung will lead Mistral AI’s Series D funding round and acquire a strategic stake in the company, which will help support the collaboration. Samsung announced the partnership during the South Korea-France government summit in Paris.
