Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi K90 Ultra smartphone. The new device features powerful hardware, and one of its key features is a built-in active cooling system with a fan. In addition, the device is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, making it primarily geared toward mobile gaming.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. The screen refresh rate is 165 Hz, ensuring smooth and crisp visuals. Xiaomi uses an M10 panel, which delivers a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, making the device comfortable to use even in bright sunlight. The display also has a fast touch response time, which helps reduce input lag during gaming.
Performance is handled by a 3-nm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. Additionally, a separate D2 graphics chip handles some of the graphics processing to make gameplay even smoother.

To combat overheating, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi K90 Ultra with an active air cooling system. Inside the body is an 18.1 mm fan that draws out hot air and operates at a noise level of just 32 dB. It is complemented by a large vapor chamber that cools the main processor. The device’s battery life is equally impressive. The smartphone features an 8,550 mAh battery, one of the largest capacities available. It supports 100-watt fast wired charging and also offers 22.5-watt reverse charging.
The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 800 sensor with OIS, which will take sharper photos in low-light conditions. It is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The smartphone supports 8K video recording. A 20-megapixel front-facing camera is located on the front panel for selfies and video calls.

The Redmi K90 Ultra also features dust and water resistance rated to IP66, IP68, and IP69 standards, and the fan is also protected against moisture. In addition, the smartphone is equipped with Bose stereo speakers and a 3D fingerprint scanner.
The smartphone comes with the HyperOS 3 operating system, which offers a smooth and user-friendly interface. The new model is available in three colors: Shadow Black, Space Silver, and Sky Blue. The base model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage costs approximately $412, while the top-of-the-line configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is priced at approximately $515.
