Few people realize it, but HATOR actually has Ukrainian roots – a detail that gives local media certain advantages when speaking with the company’s PR managers. At IFA 2025, our correspondent gathered a lot of interesting insights, not just about the HATOR Skyfall keyboard series, but also about new products in their chair lineup, including the HATOR ARC 3, HATOR ARC 4, HATOR Darkside 3, and HATOR Darkside 3 PRO.

Insights

Let’s start with some insights. No exact details or images are available, as our access was limited to verbal descriptions. For example, there’s an aluminum keyboard that isn’t full-sized but features unique angled edges on the case. The expected release is either late this year or early next year.

Next is an ultra-lightweight mouse, even lighter than the current leaders in minimal weight. For reference, the lightest models today are the 47-gram LOFREE Hypace and the Fnatic x Lamzu Maya X 8K. HATOR will also offer branded keyboard switches, and our correspondent even received a set as a gift.

Keyboards and switches

Now, for the new products with more detailed information. The HATOR Skyfall series has expanded with 12 new keyboard models and 4 new switch types. These include the linear, fast-acting Sterling 70M switches, with a 50-gram actuation force and a durability of 70 million keystrokes; linear Lemon 70M switches; equally linear Vanilla Silent 50M switches; and premium magnetic Strawberry 100M switches.

All keyboards in the Skyfall lineup feature a multi-layer construction designed to reduce noise. This includes several types of PORON foam, an IXPE switch base, and a Gasket Mount design with silicone vibration-damping pads. The stabilizers for larger keys are made of POM (polyoxymethylene) and come pre-lubricated.

All keyboards also feature per-key RGB lighting, along with dual 19-zone side-strip lighting. Lighting synchronization is handled through HATOR’s multi-platform software, which is browser-based – so there’s no need to install anything.

The downside is that I don’t have information on synchronization with systems like ASUS Aura Sync – though this isn’t definitive. On the plus side, the software support will extend not only to the new models but possibly to older ones as well. Honestly, I’ve never encountered this kind of backward compatibility before, so it’s a pleasantly surprising feature.

Getting into specifics, the most affordable keyboards are the Skyfall 65 and Skyfall 80. The Skyfall 65 is a 65% layout with ABS keycaps, available in black, and equipped with Sterling 70M switches. The Skyfall 80 features an 80% layout, comes in black or white, and uses Lemon 70M switches. Prices start at around €50.

The wireless Skyfall models include the 65 Wireless, 80 Wireless, and 100 Wireless. They use Sterling, Lemon, and Lemon switches, respectively, with battery capacities of 2000, 4000, and 4000 mAh. The layout sizes correspond to the model names – 65, 80, and 100. Each keyboard offers three connection options: 2.4 GHz, wired, and Bluetooth. The ABS keycaps follow the OMA profile. Prices range from €60 to €70.

The Skyfall PRO Wireless series stands out with a full TFT RGB display, in addition to all the connectivity options of the previous models. The lineup includes the Skyfall 65, 80, and 100 PRO Wireless. Keycaps are PBT OMA, available in a single black-and-gray color. Battery capacities are double those of the standard wireless models, ranging from 4000 to 8000 mAh. The keyboards feature a 1000 Hz polling rate and use HATOR Aurum Vanilla Silent 50M switches. Prices start from €75 and go up to €95.

Next are the flagship models: the Skyfall MAG ULTRA 8K Wired and the separate Wireless version. The standout feature of these keyboards is, of course, the Hall-effect switches – the magnetic Strawberry 100M with a 45-gram actuation force. All models use PBT OMA keycaps, come in a black-and-white case, and offer a polling rate of up to 8000 Hz, both wired and wireless.

The differences between the new models lie in layout size and connectivity. The Skyfall 65 MAG ULTRA 8K and Skyfall 80 MAG ULTRA 8K are wired, while the Skyfall 65 MAG ULTRA 8K Wireless and Skyfall 80 MAG ULTRA 8K Wireless offer wireless connectivity, with battery capacities of 4000 and 8000 mAh, respectively. Prices range from €70 to €100.

Сhairs

A brief overview of the chairs: the HATOR Darkside 3 features InfuseFoam padding, a ChillFoam headrest that is both breathable and magnetic, and a lumbar support pillow. The five-star base is plastic but BIFMA-certified. It will be available in two color/material options: black HybridFiber faux leather and gray CloudTouch fabric. The HATOR Darkside 3 Pro offers the same features, with the addition of BIFMA certification and InfuseFoam+ padding.

The HATOR ARC 3 chair features 4D Flip’n’Chill armrests, a NobleShift rocking system, and a range of size options. The flagship ARC 4 stands out with the innovative Synchro Gen 2 mechanism, which can be customized to the user, along with Infinity 360 armrests and adjustable lumbar support. Both ARC models will also be available with soft velour fabric upholstery. Pricing has not been announced.

HATOR also showcased new microphones, while their headsets – though not new – now offer improved compatibility with iPhones. Personally, I consider HATOR’s microphones, especially those integrated into their headsets, among the best in terms of sound quality on the market.

HATOR IFA 2025

They perform at a level comparable to older Logitech models with high-end USB sound cards. If the microphones have improved even further, that’s a significant upgrade.
