I have no trouble reviewing gaming PCs – I’ve done it many times. The same goes for gaming furniture; that’s familiar territory as well. But reviewing a gaming desk that is also a computer is something entirely different. The  Artline Gaming Desk PC 1200 Black is one such example.

About the table itself

Like other gaming furniture produced by Artline’s custom division, the Artline Gaming Desk PC 1200 consists of two main components: the gaming desk itself, designed to house a computer inside, and the integrated PC. Artline is the largest Ukrainian manufacturer of custom-built PCs, all-in-one systems, and servers, so the company has solid experience in this field.

The desks are not imported from China or Poland. They are designed, manufactured, and assembled to order in Ukraine by a dedicated Artline division. The same applies to the company’s test benches and boutique cases produced under the Gorilla Custom line. In other words, this is a fully Ukrainian product from start to finish.

Yes, the desk is available in several sizes. The width options are 1200 or 1600 mm, while the height ranges from 750 to 800 mm. The depth is fixed at 800 mm. For comparison, both of the desks I personally use have a height of 700 mm.

However, there are two important details to note. First, the height can be adjusted thanks to the screw-type legs. Second, when considering the overall size, it’s important to account for the maximum height – not just the legroom underneath. The tabletop itself adds a significant amount to the overall dimensions.

Of course, there’s no automated height adjustment – at least not yet – but the desk does include a front I/O panel. It features four USB ports (two of them Type-A, 5 Gbps), a power button, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

There is also space for mounting a monitor arm, a channel for cable management, and even a compartment for a power strip. Inside, beneath a thick layer of tempered glass, sits the computer system itself.

PC inside

I will provide you with the results of benchmarks and stress tests, including temperature testing – but just so you understand, the Artline Gaming Desk PC 1200 is simply a gaming case rotated 90 degrees and with reduced thickness.

Airflow in this system is well thought out, with three 120 mm intake fans, an equal number of exhaust fans, and additional perforation in the corners. The cooling is liquid-based, with the radiator mounted on the intake side, which keeps the CPU slightly cooler while the GPU tends to run hotter. That said, modern AMD X3D processors don’t require extensive cooling. In this particular setup, the system features an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D paired with an ASUS ROG STRIX X870-F GAMING WIFI motherboard.

The motherboard is definitely overkill for a 100-watt CPU, but it offers advantages such as a high-end Wi-Fi 7 module and a large number of USB ports, which help with cable management. The radiator also features RGB lighting, which is visible under the glass panel. The system is equipped with 64 GB of Kingston Fury Beast RAM and an ASUS TUF RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 OC graphics card. The GPU is relatively loud, but runs cooler than expected. Even in the compact case, the combined stress test showed memory temperatures around 90 °C.

The power supply is an ASUS ROG THOR 1000W. We’ve previously covered this unit – or rather, the range of ASUS PSUs – which you can find linked here. The key point is that 1000 W is more than sufficient for an RTX 5090. The built-in power monitoring display also turned out to be more useful than I initially expected.

Cooling is handled by the ASUS ROG-STRIX-LC-III-360 ARGB LCD unit, but the fans were replaced with EKWB EK-Quantum Impulse 120 D-RGB models, which are among the most expensive and highest-performing 120 mm fans available on the market.

Maintenance, noise level, temperatures

How is maintenance handled? Thanks to the sliding mechanism, or by lifting the glass panel, all components are accessible. Overall, there’s no need to worry – the hardware is reachable and isn’t permanently sealed in epoxy.

In terms of noise, the system is louder than usual because the glass panel transmits sound rather than dampening it. However, since the components are positioned directly in front of you rather than to the side, the noise is more evenly distributed and generally easier to ignore.

In the combined stress test, the RTX 5090 does run hot, though 83 °C on the core and 90 °C on the memory are still within acceptable limits. The CPU stays under 70 °C. Power consumption reached up to 850 W during the stress test, around 700 W during gaming, and roughly 150 W at idle.

Variations

Of course, performance and temperatures depend on the components installed. Want an RTX 5080 instead? No problem – the CPU temperature would drop by about 3 °C. Prefer a Ryzen 9? That’s also feasible; as long as you don’t overclock, there’s no need to change the liquid cooler. You could add additional Noctua fans, though they wouldn’t have RGB, or install more RGB strips inside – all of that is possible without issue.

Additionally, this is the first revision of the desk, and the details of the next version are not yet known. The manufacturer mentioned plans to reduce the number of USB ports on the front panel, which I don’t agree with, as extra USB ports are always useful.

Cable management is expected to improve, particularly under the legs. Even so, the Artline Gaming Desk PC 1200 already features symmetrical power distribution, with C13 connectors positioned under the legs on both sides.

Overall, it’s worth noting that these are boutique builds, assembled to order and delivered to your home – the desk and the PC are handled separately. Similarly, Artline’s standalone boutique PCs are also custom-built and delivered by courier across Ukraine. As for the current configuration, the only arguably excessive component is the RTX 5090.

Conclusions

The RTX 5080 would arguably be a more fitting choice for this setup. The Artline Gaming Desk PC 1200 is a PC housed in a slim case – as much a design element for gamers as it is a high-performance computer.

I can comfortably recommend it to bloggers, streamers, and especially anyone who wants to support the Ukrainian industry and local manufacturers. At this point, it’s possible to purchase a capable PC while also supporting Ukraine.
