Frogwares has released a five-minute trailer showcasing gameplay from The Sinking City 2, a Lovecraftian survival horror game, and has also revealed the voice cast. The new trailer offers an in-depth tour of the world of The Sinking City 2 and introduces players to its gloomy Lovecraftian setting and the horrors lurking just around the corner.

Players will find themselves in the 1920s in the decaying city of Arkham, which has been ravaged by a supernatural flood and is now overrun by monsters. The story of Calvin and Faye unfolds before them, and they learn the reasons why Calvin decided to stay in the city from which all the other residents have fled.
The trailer showcases the core gameplay elements in detail, including a blend of tense survival horror and investigative elements as players explore Arkham, uncover its secrets, and fight for survival. In fact, exploration in this game is key to survival, as are various side quests that don’t slow down the main story but help you find safer routes, supplies, and upgrades. Special attention is given to the combat system, as well as the fact that resources are limited and ammunition is particularly valuable.

At the heart of The Sinking City 2 are two characters whose stories are closely intertwined with Arkham and the nightmare the city finds itself in. Andrew Wheildon-Dennis voices Calvin Rafferty, and his voice will likely be familiar to those who have played Baldur’s Gate III, The Invincible, 007 First Light, Blue Prince, and Dragon’s Dogma II.

The bold and intelligent Faye Bennett is voiced by Gemma Elizabeth Whelan, best known for her role as Yara Greyjoy in the TV series Game of Thrones. Whelan has also worked on major video game projects, including Elden Ring, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III.
The Sinking City 2 will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG on August 18, but it’s available for pre-order now. With any pre-order, players will receive the Chthonic Arsenal as a bonus. This includes three weapons with unique properties and stats: the “Sunbeam Mary” pistol, the “Wavebreaker” shotgun, and the “Tektite Tommy” submachine gun.
The Sinking City 2 Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the Arkham Expansion Pack with three unique outfits: “Anatomist,” “Witness,” and “Heretical Heraldry.” The package also includes three Sleep Essences to quickly unlock your first ability, as well as a resource pack with ammunition, medicine, and other items to help you get started in the city. The Premium Edition offers early access (24 hours before the game’s release), as well as the Arkham Field Kit and the two-hour side quest “The Holloways’ Estate.” Completing this quest rewards you with the “Mad Steed” revolver for the main game.
