Today I am testing the MOVA K30 Mix cordless wet and dry vacuum cleaner. Formally, it is another model in the increasingly common “vacuum and mop simultaneously” category. In practice, however, it represents an attempt to create a more universal household device that covers several tasks at once: dry cleaning, floor washing, and handheld vacuuming for furniture. One of its key features is a self-cleaning function. The concept is ambitious, so it is worth examining how these features are implemented and whether the K30 Mix can realistically serve as the primary vacuum cleaner in an apartment or house.

Technical specifications and features of the MOVA K30 Mix

Here are the vacuum cleaner’s specifications, followed by my concise commentary on the raw numbers:

  • Suction power: 18,000 Pa, which is more than enough for upright models.
  • Motor speed: 13,000 rpm
  • Brush rotation: 500 rpm
  • 4 modes: automatic, liquid collection, turbo, ultra
  • Dust sensor with automatic power selection
  • Noise level: 76 dB
  • Powered by a 7×2600 mAh (65.52 Wh) battery and provides 30 to 50 minutes of autonomy depending on the mode.

Key features of the cleaning process with MOVA K30 Mix:

  • brush without sides for cleaning around edges
  • automatic power selection
  • self-cleaning and drying
  • water electrolysis for disinfection

In other words, the device is positioned not merely as a floor washer, but as a comprehensive multi-function floor care system. Its actual performance in these roles will be evaluated during testing.

Positioning and Pricing

The MOVA K30 Mix is a compact cordless wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner that simultaneously vacuums and washes floors. The unit can also be converted into a handheld vacuum with attachments for furniture and crevices. The manufacturer emphasizes that the device can operate continuously for 40–45 minutes in floor-washing mode, which is a comparatively high runtime for this category. This claim will be examined in the testing section.

MOVA K30 Mix

The current price of the vacuum on Amazon in Europe is about €380. This is roughly in line with the cost of a mid-range upright wet-cleaning cordless vacuum from established household appliance brands. It is important to look closely at the specific features and functionality, as the MOVA K30 Mix includes design decisions and capabilities that differ from many competitors. These aspects are worth understanding before making a purchase decision.

Unboxing and Package Contents

The vacuum cleaner is delivered in double packaging: a sturdy outer box made of thick corrugated cardboard, and an inner retail box featuring product images and key specifications. The overall packaging provides a high level of protection during transport, minimizing the risk of damage in transit.

Inside, all components are tightly arranged in separate multi-layer cardboard inserts and individually wrapped in protective bags. The internal layout is compact and precisely organized. If you plan to repack the device in the future – for example, during a move – it would be advisable to photograph the original arrangement. Reassembling the packaging in the same configuration may prove difficult without a reference.

MOVA K30 Mix - What in the box

The package is really packed with stuff:

  • Central tube
  • Extension cord
  • 2-in-1 crevice tool
  • Multifunctional brush
  • Roller brush
  • Mini turbo brush
  • Dust container
  • Handheld vacuum module
  • Docking station
  • Filter
  • Bottle of cleaning solution

In fact, it is four devices in one body:

  • Washing vacuum cleaner
  • Upright vacuum cleaner for dry cleaning
  • Handheld vacuum cleaner
  • Vacuum cleaner for furniture

The last element, by the way, is very important, because many washing vacuum cleaners cannot function properly as a regular dry vacuum cleaner.

Design, Construction, and Materials

Assembled, the MOVA K30 Mix appears compact and does not occupy excessive space when stored. The docking station is neatly designed and relatively small, making it suitable for placement even in apartments with limited space.

In addition to the charging dock with the self-cleaning station, which accommodates the assembled vacuum with its battery, the package includes a separate stand for storing the vacuum when used for dry cleaning, along with all its components and accessories.

MOVA K30 Mix

To prepare the vacuum for use, the battery must be detached from the wet-cleaning unit and mounted onto the handle with the dry-cleaning dust container. Then, one of the attachments can be connected – floor, furniture, or the narrow crevice tool – depending on the intended task.

MOVA K30 Mix

The MOVA K30 Mix is constructed from high-quality plastics with varying colors and textures, complemented by rubber and metal components. There are no concerns regarding the materials or overall design, and build quality is excellent. All parts fit together precisely, and the assembly can be easily disassembled without requiring excessive effort.

User Experience and Functional Impressions

The key feature of the MOVA K30 Mix is its ability to vacuum and mop simultaneously – and it works as intended. Personally, I find the traditional “vacuum first, then mop” approach tedious and time-consuming. The K30 Mix addresses this by performing both tasks at once. While the roller spins and distributes clean water, the suction system simultaneously collects dirt into a separate reservoir.

MOVA K30 Mix

Main Brush

A notable advantage of the vacuum is its main brush, which lacks side skirts. This design allows the brush to reach very close to baseboards. Many wet-and-dry vacuums leave “dead zones” near walls or around furniture, but the unrestricted roller brush here minimizes that issue. Combined with the dual-direction rotation of the brush roll and the integrated hair scraper, the cleaning results are precise, leaving no streaks on the floor.

Floor Mopping

The MOVA K30 Mix is equipped with a 500 ml clean water tank, which can be filled with a cleaning solution if desired. All dirty water is collected in a separate reservoir. The vacuum does not simply spread water across the floor – it actively retrieves it, leaving the surface only slightly damp and allowing it to dry quickly.

An additional feature is water electrolysis. The water passes through an electrolysis process, which produces a disinfecting effect, eliminating up to 99.9% of bacteria. This enables cleaning without the use of harsh chemicals, which can be particularly beneficial for households with children or pets.

MOVA K30 Mix

Automatic Power Adjustment

Power management and the automatic mode are another advantage of the MOVA K30 Mix. While the 18,000 Pa suction rating is impressive on paper, the key feature is that the vacuum adjusts its power automatically. It senses the cleaning conditions and applies only the necessary force: minimal dust results in quieter operation and lower battery consumption, while heavier debris triggers an increase in suction. This behavior is noticeable in practice.

I tested it across different scenarios – kitchen after cooking, entryway after outdoor traffic, and around a cat’s feeding area. In areas with more dirt, the vacuum indeed increases suction. The automatic adjustment is not just a marketing claim; it works as intended, saving battery life and removing the need to switch modes manually.

Horizontal Cleaning Under Furniture

The body of the vacuum can tilt up to 180°, allowing it to reach under sofas or beds. Importantly, this tilt does not compromise performance. The Liquid Locking system prevents water from leaking even in a horizontal position. Cleaning under low furniture is as effective as in the upright mode, which is particularly convenient for apartments with lower-clearance furnishings.

Handheld Dry Cleaning

The device easily converts into a standard cordless vacuum. Dry cleaning with the MOVA K30 Mix is effective and well-executed – it does not feel like a token “extra” feature. The main brush offers wide coverage, making it suitable for collecting dust and debris over larger areas. The mini turbo brush performs well on sofas, and the crevice tool is convenient for baseboards and hard-to-reach spots. In handheld mode, battery life extends up to 50 minutes, reinforcing that this is truly a versatile model, not just a floor-cleaning vacuum.

Self-Cleaning Function

Another standout feature of the MOVA K30 Mix is its fully functional self-cleaning and drying system. After wet cleaning, placing the vacuum on the dock initiates the self-cleaning cycle. The brush is rinsed and combed using the built-in hair scraper, the system is flushed, and the roller is dried. This is a crucial feature, as a wet roller left to air-dry can quickly develop unpleasant odors. With the K30 Mix, maintenance is straightforward and hygienic.

Maintenance Tips

Voice prompts notify the user when it is necessary to refill the water tank or empty the dust container. This feature is convenient, particularly in households where multiple family members use the vacuum.

Intelligent Display and Voice Prompts

The vacuum features a built-in display that indicates the current operating mode, battery level, and the status of the water and dust tanks.

MOVA K30 Mix in Real-World Use

Pet Hair

For households with cats or dogs, the real test is not dust but pet hair. I deliberately left the area near the sofa and the cat bed uncleaned for several days, which typically results in the classic “hair strip” along the baseboard. Here, the brush without side skirts performed exceptionally well. The vacuum reaches close to the wall, leaving no thin line of hair that would require manual follow-up. The dual-rotation roller does not entangle hair into a clump, and the integrated scraper removes it efficiently. After a single pass, the floor appeared clean without the need for additional effort.

Shoe Marks in the Hallway

The hallway is a good indicator of a vacuum’s real-world performance, especially after rain or snow. I deliberately left some shoe marks to dry slightly before cleaning. In standard mode, the vacuum automatically increased its power and removed most of the dirt on the first pass. For more stubborn spots, a second slower pass was needed. Throughout, the water was not spread across the floor but collected back into the reservoir. After cleaning, the tiles remained slightly damp and free of streaks or cloudy residue.

Spilled Coffee in the Kitchen

This test focused on the liquid pickup mode. I spilled a small amount of water (skipping the coffee to avoid waste) and ran the vacuum over it. In liquid pickup mode, the device operates more aggressively, concentrating on suction. The liquid was removed within seconds, leaving the floor clean and dry.

Cleaning Under the Bed

One of the more challenging household tasks is reaching dust under beds or sofas. The MOVA K30 Mix fully tilts, allowing the vacuum to almost “lie flat” on the floor. Despite this position, suction power remains consistent, water does not leak, and airflow stays stable. I specifically tested it in the horizontal orientation, and the Liquid Locking system functioned correctly.

Noise and Comfort

At 76 dB, the vacuum is not silent, but it is also far from uncomfortably loud – roughly within the normal range for this class of device. In automatic mode, when dirt levels are low, the vacuum operates more quietly, which is a noticeable and welcome difference.

Robot or MOVA K30 Mix?

In our household, the primary operator of the MOVA K30 Mix is my wife, and she prefers the handheld vacuum. Launching a robot vacuum requires preparation: clearing the floor of objects, lifting small furniture like stools, and removing storage containers from under the bed. Around the cat litter area, spilled silica gel also needs to be swept up manually.

All of this setup takes significant time – time that could be spent performing a full cleaning with the MOVA K30 Mix. Additionally, the cleaning quality from the robot often leaves areas requiring further attention, particularly in hard-to-reach spots. As a result, our robot has been unused for nearly a month. In the context of a typical city apartment, a versatile handheld vacuum has proven to be the more practical solution.

Conclusions

I am usually somewhat skeptical of the “all-in-one” label, as it often implies that one function works well while the others are merely secondary. In the case of the MOVA K30 Mix, the situation is different. Here, the “4-in-1” concept does not feel like a marketing gimmick – it genuinely delivers on multiple functions.

MOVA K30 Mix

What impressed me most about the vacuum is the combination of compact size, intelligent automatic power adjustment, and strong suction. This is not just a vacuum that requires constant manual management – it functions as a practical, “smart” tool for everyday household use.
